Measurement Guide
A: Chest measurement, armpit to armpit. B: Garment length from nape to hemline/end of garment (this measurement will be taken from the back of the garment). C: Underarm to sleeve end. D: Shoulder to sleeve end of garment. E: Shoulder to shoulder measurement (this measurement will be taken from the back of the garment).
This page is to help you understand the measurements & where exactly on a garment they are taken from. Garments are measured with the clothing laid out on a flat surface. Sometimes we include the term 'measurement taken with garment at rest'. This is used for items that are purposely close fitting & stretch fit, i.e. ruched slinky type dresses or tops etc. Then we include the appropriate 'Fits upto...' measurement (what the garment stretches to).
For jeans & trousers that are descibed as low rise, remember the waist measurement may seem larger than usually stated due to the actual waist area of the garment will actually be sitting lower & more towards the hip area of the body.
We include measurement guides in our advertisements for clothing & accessories, such as handbags, jewellery & watches. If at anytime these measurements have not been included, or maybe you need the measurements taken from a particular area of the item, please do not hesitate to contact us. At the bottom of the items description page you will see 'Ask the seller a question about this item'. As soon as we receive your enquiry we will get back to you. |
