Johnny Burnette and the Rock & Roll Trio's first album is now available on a Collector's Edition 180 Gram virgin vinyl pressing. The Father of Raunch and Roll, Bo Diddley rockin' his third release on the celebrated Checker label. Gene Vincent's very first album, cut in June 1956, is lauded as one of the signature accomplishments of early rock & roll. That rockabilly cat, Gene Vincent, recorded this disc just four months after his debut platter. About half of this early recording is taken up in the high energy mode of Wanda Jackson’s Top 40 hit, Let's Have a Party. The remainder features sterling covers of early rock hits. This RCA release features Part I and Part II of The Isley Brothers' rock masterpiece, Shout.
Checker records originally released this Bo Diddley R&B gunslinger classic in 1962. For this, his third album, Gene Vincent added piano for the first time. Epic records gathered up all Chuck Willis' Okeh recordings and put out this LP to commemorate his death in 1958. Esquerita began his career in the juke joints and roadhouses of the rural south. This is his one and only 1959 Capitol recording. The first solo LP by the master of New Orleans' popular music,Allen Toussaint. I Fought The Law, became a classic of the genre for The Bobby Fuller 4 one of America's first true garage bands.
