Most items will be delivered via Royal Mail 2nd class delivery. Although this is a 2nd class service, delivery with this service is usually just as quick as 1st class service during off peak periods. On average 2nd class delivery takes 3 to 4 'working' days. As this is an estimate this can vary significantly.
If your order is above a certain weight or value, it may be delivered via an insured courier rather than Royal Mail. Please note that if you are from a remote area such as the Scottish Highlands, Ireland or Channel islands etc, you may need to pay a surcharge to cover the extra courier cost for heavy orders. This will be highlighted in any applicable listings.
We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated time scales, dispatching all goods the same day when ordered before 2pm Mon to Fri. Please be aware that delays are occasionally inevitable due to busy periods and unforeseen factors. If your delivery is delayed then please bare in mind that Royal Mail will not class a delivery as lost until 15 'working' days have passed since the estimated delivery time. This means that a delivery could take upto 15 working days to arrive, although this is very rare.
Turtle Trading will not be held responsible for delivery delays beyond our reasonable control, for example: strike action, 3rd party delays, traffic or weather constraints and therefore will not accept liability for late delivery under these circumstances.
In the event of requests for goods to be left at unattended premises (for example - in a garage) or with neighbours Turtle Trading will endeavour to do so at the customers own liability.
Royal Mail or our couriers will leave a note if you are not there to receive the parcel. It is your responsibility to call the delivery company to arrange a re-delivery or collect the parcel. You will be eligible for the cost of us re-sending the goods if the parcel is returned to us marked as 'Not called for'. Failure to comply with these charges will result in the order being cancelled and refunded.
If a parcel is returned due to incorrect or insufficient address details provided on your order you will be eligible for the cost of resending the parcel. Parcels will only be resent once the charges have been met.
