I have a good selection of glass available. I only salvage glass that has not been etched with a registration.

Door and rear quarter windows are toughened glass and very strong. Although not covered by Royal Mail or couriers against damage, I have sent them well packaged all over the world with no problems so far.

Front and rear screens, although toughed, are very fragile and harder to package adequately to minimise the risk of damage. With the time and packing materials required to give them a chance of withstanding third party and machine handling and having sent them with mixed results I no longer consider it cost effective to attempt it and they are now available for collection only.

Mk3 glass.

Generally bronze tinted (in most if not all Ghia, Injection and Laser models) but some early models were fitted with clear glass (see Mk2 info for prices). Tailgate windows are either the early push fit or the later bonded glass. Front screens are laminated (in all but the earliest Mk3 examples). Rear quarter windows are fixed or opening.

Note early Mk3 door glass has a narrow channel ... generally speaking, if the winder mechanism is screwed to the inner skin of the door, the rollers are small and the channel narrow. If the mechanism is scewed at the rear but riveted at the front, the rollers are larger and the channel wider. Rollers can be swapped to overcome incompatability.

Mk2 glass.

Generally either clear or green tinted on the Ghia models (but I have seen a different shade used on Sport models ... very rare). Tailgate windows are all push fit and slightly larger than the Mk3. Front screens are often 1-piece construction but Ghia models had a laminated version, they are taller than the Mk3 screen and will also fit the Mk1. Rear quarter windows are fixed on all except the Ghia model.
