I will always try to find the cheapest solution.

I use Royal Mail services through my local post office for small and light items. 

For larger and heavier items couriers are usually cheaper and often faster. I use Interparcel who arrange collection and delivery via DHL, UPS, Parceline DPD, TNT etc. at very competitive rates and can handle items up to 50kg to some destinations. Often having the choice of several quotes from different companies available online means I can select the cheapest or fastest service as required. Tracking is available for most items thru http://www.interparcel.com/ and damage/loss compensation up to £50 included (enhanced cover is available for a small additional fee). 

For the largest and heaviest items I use a pallet service provided by R. Swains & Sons who offer good rates for UK delivery. Prices are per pallet so no weight restrictions (it's worth bulk ordering, clubbing together with friends if necessary, to make the most of this option).  Swains have provided a very quick and reliable service so if you cannot call in person to collect, e-mail me with your post code for a quote.

If you live within a 200(ish) mile radius of Brighton you are always welcome to contact me regarding personal delivery as I'm often out and about and may be able to drop large/heavy items off for less than the cost of a courier/transport service.

Please also note that whilst I always try to get items out to you as soon as possible after payment has been received (usually within 24hrs) sometimes delays can occur.  Occasionally there is a delay in locating or packaging an item or, if I'm out and about, I can't always get to the post office or hand over to couriers the next day. If you need an item for a deadline it is always worth mentioning this at the time of ordering as I will do what I can to try and ensure you get the item you need on time!

Whilst 99.9% of items reach their destination on time and in the condition they were sent it is inevitable that very occasionally a problem may arise. I package carefully to try and avoid damage but please remember that once in the hands of a third party an items delivery is outside of my control. I will do all I can to assist in tracing any delayed or lost items and in persuing a claim for compensation should damage/loss occur but I won't be held responsible and will only refund when the company concerned have investigated/reinbursed. By declining to collect an item in person you place the same trust in a third party that I do!
