Unless otherwise stated, all items are shipped from Niagara Falls, Ontario by Canada Post, and I normally ship on the next business day after receipt of payment. Please keep in mind that shipping costs in Canada are generally higher than in the U.S., and we do not have economy methods that compare to USPS Media Mail. The shipping calculator uses the Canada Post rate table, and costs are converted to $US at the current exchange rate. In some cases, the pricing includes an extra $0.50 to $1 to help offset my costs for materials such as bubble-wrap, paper, tissue, labels, tape, etc. Most methods of Canada Post parcel shipment automatically have insurance up to $100 value included in the rates.
With cross border shipping there is always a possibility of delay caused by customs, and I have no control over this. However, I make certain that labeling and documentation meet all customs requirements, and have never yet had a significant delay with a shipment. In most cases, parcels reach their US destinations in 6-10 business days, and lettermail is normally delivered in 4-5 business days. |
