Ordering your tyres
I’m not sure how to read my tyre size from my tyre?
Please see the section on the site entitled "How to read a side wall". If you need any further help or guidance, please call us on 0800 111 4 678.
I’ve ordered the wrong tyre size by mistake what do I do?
Please take time to check that the tyre size you have ordered is the correct fitment for your vehicle. If you have ordered the wrong size, we will do our best to help you, please call customer services on 0800 111 4 678.
Can I make a bid for an item?
No, all items are ‘Buy it Now’ priced.
Are your prices fully fitted?
All our prices are fully fitted and include a new valve, computerised wheel balance and the environmentally friendly disposal of your old tyres.
Are my tyres fully guaranteed?
All our tyres are fully guaranteed against manufacturing defects for the legal lifetime of the tyre (i.e. down to 1.6mm) regardless of mileage. Additionally, we also guarantee the fitting of your tyres by your chosen fitting centre, so you can have complete peace of mind.
The tyre brand I want isn’t listed?
We have tried to ensure that the most popular brands and sizes are listed on this site. If you’re looking for a brand that we haven’t listed, please email us at ebaysupport@national-tyres.co.uk and let us know.
Payments
How do I pay?
We only accept payment via PayPal, which is the quickest, easiest and most secure way to pay. We’re sorry but we are unable to accept cheques, postal orders, credit cards or bank transfers. If you are unsure how to use PayPal or are having problems with your account, you may contact PayPal’s Customer Support Line on 0870 730 7191.
When will I be charged?
Payment is charged to your PayPal account immediately.
What email communications will I receive after placing my order?
Once you have completed your order you will receive the following communications:
- Order Confirmation email – to confirm that your order has been received.
- Payment Received – to confirm that your payment has been processed by PayPal.
- Booking email – to confirm that your order has been booked into your chosen fitting centre.
- Feedback email – to remind you to feedback your comments.
I’ve paid for my tyres, but received no e-mail confirmation?
Please contact customer services on 0800 111 4 678 and we will e-mail a copy of your confirmation to you.
Delivery
How are my tyres delivered?
Your tyres are delivered to your chosen fitting centre in time for your appointment. We fit them FOC and you don’t even need to get your hands dirty!
Can you post my tyres to me, so that I can arrange fitting elsewhere?
Warranty liability issues mean that many independent garages will no longer fit products to customer’s vehicles that have not been purchased directly though them. That’s why National only offer a FULLY FITTED and FULLY GUARANTEED service for complete peace of mind.
Fitting
I’ve pressed the ‘BUY NOW’ button without confirming my fitting date and location?
No problem. You will receive regular e-mail reminders from us to return to eBay and confirm your booking date and location. If you have any problems, or can’t find these e-mails, simply call us on 0800 111 4 678 and we’ll complete your booking over the phone.
When booking a fitting date and location, why do you ask for a phone number, e-mail address and vehicle registration number?
This is simply so that we can contact you in the event of a problem with your order. We use the vehicle registration number just to double-check that the tyres you have ordered are the correct fitment for your vehicle. We can then rectify any problems BEFORE you arrive at the fitting centre, saving you time and inconvenience.
When choosing a fitting centre, the site doesn't recognise my Postcode?
Instead of entering your full postcode i.e. WN6 0XU, just enter the first part of your postcode i.e. WN6 0 or WN6, this will then allow you to proceed.
I have an emergency requirement, can I get my tyres fitted any quicker than the earliest booking date?
If you require a fitting date sooner than the dates indicated on the site, call our customer services team on 0800 111 4 678 and they will do their best to bring your booking date forward.
I want to change the fitting time what do I do?
Just call customer service team on 0800 111 4 678.
Refunds and returns
Can I get a refund if I’m not satisfied?
Under the Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations, you have up to 7 working days after you have received your delivery to cancel your order in writing. Further details of which are available from your local Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
If, within 7 days of delivery, you are not completely happy with your purchase, simply contact ebaysupport@national-tyres.co.uk or call our customer services team on 0800 111 4 678 and we will make arrangements for you to return your tyre to the original fitting centre. As long as the tyre is unused, undamaged, in a saleable condition and you present your original receipt, we'll exchange it or offer you a full refund.
How long does it take to process a refund?
National will process your refund within 2 business days. Refunds are made in the same form of payment originally used for purchase, in this case via Pay Pal. Please be advised that it can take up to 7 working days for the clearing banks to process the refund back to your debit / credit card.
In Branch
What do I need to take with me to the branch?
Please ensure you take your confirmation e-mails and proof of ID (i.e. driving license, passport, utility bill etc..)
What if I need additional work i.e. a tracking when I get my tyres fitted?
As an eBay customer, you are also entitled to an additional 10% off any product or service at any of our branches. Simply quote ‘Cash Sale Account Number 898667’
How much does a laser wheel alignment (tracking) cost?
National’s standard price is £28. eBay customers receive an automatic 10% off this price, reducing it to £25.20.
Are your fitting staff fully trained?
All our technicians are fully trained to City and Guilds standards.

Manufacturing Defects
Every tyre we sell comes with an unlimited mileage guarantee against manufacturing defects throughout the legal life of the tyre.
If you suspect that any tyres supplied to you may have a manufacturing defect, simply return to your fitting station to have the tyre examined. In most cases, we’ll be able to make an on the spot decision and provide a refund or a replacement tyre according to the amount of tyre tread depth remaining.
In certain circumstances, the tyre may need to be returned to the manufacturer to be x-rayed, in order to verify a manufacturing defect. In this case, the tyre will be returned to the manufacturer for inspection. A refund or replacement tyre will follow pending the outcome of this investigation.
Fitting Problems
In the unlikely event that a problem has occurred during the fitting of your tyres, simply return to your nearest branch and the tyres will be removed and re-fitted FREE OF CHARGE.
