General Interest

General:

As a charity we rely solely on donations of IT equipment for recycling or refurbishment, therefore a lot of the items we receive are ex-corporate equipment which has been removed from a fully working environment. These are then tested, cleaned and refurbished by our in-house technicians, who are mainly volunteers.

Most machines for sale are in good overall condition (exceptions are those for spares/repairs only). The outer casing condition varies from machine to machine, but there are generally quite marks and scratches around the outer casing. The machines are by no means brand new, however, any damage is purely cosmetic and they have all been tested to be working 100%.

Laptops may have wear located on the lids, palm rests, plastics and or screen blemishes but please pay attention to adverts for specific information relating to condition.

Software:

PC's and laptops

Operating system supplied:

Were stated, a system will include both the operating system and Windows XP COA (license only), no disks supplied.

COA only:

Were stated, a system will include a Windows XP COA (license only). Systems will be supplied WITHOUT software installed OR disks supplied, but obviously the COA entitles you to install the operating system yourself.

Please Note: We do not provide any software related support so please ensure you are comfortable installing the operating system yourself. When installing Windows XP you may need to download the SATA drivers separately and install them during installation for the OS to recognise your SATA hard drive. If this is likely to pose a problem, then please don't bid.
