In our experience most problems or misunderstandings can be easily avoided by reviewing the item description & our terms and conditions carefully and requesting any additional information required before making your purchase. If you have any questions, please contact us first.

 

We will send the following purchase progress e-mails to your Ebay messages inbox; ‘winning buyer/order’ confirmation e-mail message, ‘payment received’ confirmation e-mail message and ‘order dispatch’ confirmation e-mail message. It is your responsibility to read these e-mails together with any additional ‘information request’ e-mails occasionally sent to ensure a smooth trouble free purchase experience.

 

Operational Hours

 

Homebrewsupplies4u operate between 10.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding Wednesday. During these hours we package and post orders, answer e-mails (log off at 4.30pm), and answer telephone calls. We are closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

Photographs, Information

 

Homebrewsupplies4u take great care to describe and show items as accurately as possible. Product descriptions are provided by the product manufacturer or their UK agents and distributors. The photographs are provided for guidance only; the products supplied will be the current version as supplied in the UK to us by the manufacturer or distributor. In the case of our complete starter kits, aids to winemaking and aids to beermaking, we reserve the right to substitute another manufacturer’s product, which will be of the same value and functionality as that pictured. Do not make your purchase decision on the photograph alone. Please check the listing title and description matches the product photograph prior to making your purchase. For confirmation or further information, please contact us before purchasing.

 

Availability

 

To avoid continual stock administration, we post all our listings with high stock levels which may not reflect actual current stock level. We pride ourselves on the level of stock holdings; however, on the rare occasion an item is out of stock, we will e-mail you advising on when we expect our new stock in and how quickly we can get this new stock to you. If you cannot wait we will happily cancel the order and issue a full refund if payment has been made.

 

Carriage Services & Costs

 

Subject to weight, dimensions, value and destination, we may offer a choice of carrier services; these are detailed on the ‘Postage & Payments’ tab below the product picture on each listing. Please make sure your choice of carriage service will get your item to you in the required time (see shipping page for delivery times for each service). To comply with Paypal buyer protection policy, Homebrewsupplies4u may ask you to use a recorded carriage service in the case of unverified or unconfirmed Ebay and/or Paypal accounts.

 

Multiple Purchase From The Same Listing

 

The carriage savings for multiple purchases from the same Ebay listing will be automatically calculated on the Ebay order confirmation e-mail/invoice, against which you can make payment.

 

Combined Purchases From Different Listings

 

Homebrewsupplies4u are happy to combine orders to reduce carriage costs, subject to the combined weight, dimensions, value, and carrier destination restrictions given on our shipping page. Ebay cannot calculate combined carriage costs automatically, therefore, once you have made all your purchases, please ignore the Ebay generated ‘Invitation To Pay’ e-mail and select the ‘Request An Invoice’ option instead. We can then send an invoice with the correct carriage included.

 

Should you pay for your order prior to receiving a combine carriage invoice, we will combine your order for you and refund any carriage savings to you, however, due to the additional administration costs; you will appreciate we will be unable to refund amounts below £1.

Dispatch

 

We only deliver to addresses within England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland & Channel Islands. Our operational hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10.00am till 5.00pm. We are closed Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday.

 

We therefore aim to dispatch orders as follows;-

In most cases dispatch will be within 2 to 3 working days (working days exclude Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays) of cleared funds and proof of posting and/or tracking number obtained. A dispatch confirmation e-mail, including any tracking details if available, with an estimated time of arrival will be sent the same day/next day of dispatch, it is your responsibility to read this e-mail.

 

Signed For Services

 

Royal Mail Recorded and Next Day services, together with Fedex services and Parcelforce Express 48 services will require a signature at delivery. By making a purchase we have your authority to accept a signature from another person on your behalf if a signature is needed for an item and you are not present at the time of delivery.

 

Delivery

 

Check your dispatch confirmation e-mail sent to your Ebay messages inbox for estimated time of delivery (also detailed in our shipping page). If you are out at the time of delivery (and in the case of Royal Mail’s standard services, the package is too big for your letterbox) the carrier will put a calling card through your letter box, however, as we have no control once the parcel has left us, this can not be relied upon or guaranteed. If a calling card is left, it is your responsibility to contact the carrier as instructed promptly, as packages that are not re-delivered or remain uncollected will automatically be returned to us, usually after 5 working days. Failure to undertake such responsibility will render you liable for the original carriage paid together with any additional costs involved should the carrier return the item to us undelivered, plus an additional payment to cover the cost of resending your package should you so require. If you do not want your package re-sent, we will refund the cost of the goods (less a 10% restocking charge) only.

 

Making A Claim

 

Making a purchase indicates acceptance of our following claims procedures.

 

Making A Claim For Loss In Transit

 

Before making a claim for loss in transit, please refer to your dispatch confirmation e-mail sent to your Ebay messages inbox and our Shipping Page. We cannot enter a claim for loss with the relevant carrier until the following time has elapsed from date of dispatch;-

10 days for Royal Mail Next Day

10 days for Parcelforce Express 48

10 days for Fedex services

30 days for Royal Mail 1st & 2nd Class services

30 days for Royal Mail Standard Parcel services

 

The carrier may wish to carry out an investigation before agreeing to provide compensation for loss. We are therefore unable to resend your order or issue a refund until the carrier has concluded their investigation and authorised us to do so, usually within 3 to 4 weeks of the claim being made.

 

Making A Claim For Damage In Transit

 

If your parcel appears very badly damaged, do not sign for it (an indication the parcel was in good order) instead refuse it, and the carrier will returned it to us. If you have accepted a parcel and on further inspection discover an item is damaged, you must contact us within a reasonable time period - usually 24 hours after taking delivery, remember, ownership and risk of damage or loss of an item has passed to you on delivery, either directly to you, or indirectly by leaving it in a safe place or with a neighbour if instructed.

 

The damaged item and the packaging must be retained in a safe place as the carrier may wish to carry out an investigation or require photographic evidence before agreeing to provide compensation for damage. We are therefore unable to resend your order or issue a refund until the carrier has concluded their investigation and authorised us to do so, usually within 3 to 4 weeks of the claim being made.

 

Making A Claim For Missing Item

 

In the case of a missing item, all parcels are weighed before dispatch to ensure the order has been correctly packaged. If you believe there may be an item missing from your order, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will investigate.

 

Payment & Acceptance

 

Payment by Paypal immediately on purchase or immediately on receipt of our combined invoice is the best way to ensure quick dispatch. We will dispatch on receipt of Postal Orders, payment by cheque will require seven working days for the cheque to clear before dispatch. Order Cancellation

 

If the item(s) have not been dispatched we will happily cancel your order. If the item(s) have been dispatched to you and we were unable to stop the delivery, you can refuse to sign for the delivery so that the item(s) are returned to us and we will refund your payment less our dispatch postage costs, we will also charge a 10% restocking fee.

 

Returns

 

We do accept returns, however, before returning any item(s) please contact us first. In all cases contact must be by email.

 

Return Of Items Purchased In Error

 

For orders placed in error, you have a period of 7 working days after the date of delivery within which you can cancel the contract.  Delivered item(s) must be returned at your own expense, unused in their original unopened re-saleable packaging. As you are now liable for loss or damage of the item, we recommend you ensure suitable ‘in transit’ insurance and, as confirmation of posting is no guarantee of delivery, the carrier service used for return should be a "signed for" service. If the item(s) are unused in their original unopened re-saleable packaging we will refund your payment less our dispatch postage costs, we will also charge a 10% restocking fee. If the products returned have been used or the product packaging has been opened and/or are not in the original condition we will not accept the return or issue a refund and you will be responsible for the full cost of returning the items to you. We will assume the goods are no longer required and we will dispose of them if your payment for return delivery is not received within 14 days.

 

Return Of Faulty Items

 

We do not accept returns for item(s) that have been used unless they are faulty. If you believe the item is faulty please contact us by e-mail detailing the fault before returning the item, we may require photographic evidence prior to the return of the item. If we request the item’s return we will send funds to cover the carriage and complete an investigation on receipt of the item to confirm the fault. If the fault is proved we will either; issue a refund, replace the item or return it to the manufacturer for repair and subsequent return to you. If the fault is not proved we will be unable to replace the item(s) or issue a refund and you will be responsible for the full cost of returning the items to you, including any charges incurred by us when you returned the goods. If payment for such a return delivery is not received within 14 days, we will assume the goods are no longer required and we will dispose of them.

 

Return Of An Item Sent In Error

 

In the unlikely event you discover you have been sent the wrong item(s) please contact us within 24 hours of receipt of your order and we will investigate further. If we are at fault you will be sent the cost of the return postage and on receipt of the returned item(s) we will send the correct item(s) or issue a refund. For heavier items we may use our own carrier to collect from you.
