For large deliveries including guitars we use specialist courier services and Royal Mail for smaller parcel and letter sized items.
For large, couriered items, (guitars and larger amplifiers etc.) we ask that the purchaser gives us a contact telephone number prior to dispatch of their goods to enable our courier to schedule a convenient delivery time.
Interlink Express, our courier, includes in their contract terms:

However, if there is no one in residence at the time of the courier's
call, delivery may be deemed to have been effected by
delivering to a neighbouring address.<<<<<<
If this is not acceptable to you please contact us before paying for your purchase and we will attempt to arrange a direct delivery to your designated delivery point such delivery may carry an additional cost.
We also add that due to a change in PayPal protection rules we are no longer able to address orders to addresses other than that shown as the registered PayPal address of the payor at the time of dispatch.
Should you require your purchase to be sent to a different address to that shown on the PayPal account please do not use PayPal as your method of payment.
We message via eBay once the consignment has been uplifted from us by our courier. For UK mainland addresses delivery is usually made the following working day.
For UK mainland deliveries we offer a FREE OF CHARGE standard fee for most of our full priced products within which we estimate dispatch to take place up to approx. 3 working days after cleared funds are credited to our account. For a speedier UK mainland delivery we offer an enhanced dispatch and delivery time for an additional £20.00 - please ask should you require this service.
For all other areas of the UK including the Scottish Highland post code addresses and Northern Ireland and other countries please ask for packing and shipping fees.
On receipt of the consignment, consumers should only sign unreservedly for the goods if the packaging is undamaged.
Should damage be found on unpacking a consignment the consumer should advise Harrier Guitars Limited within a period of 48 hours with full details of the consignment, invoice record number and the damage thereto. Should damage be reported after the 48 hour period we will be unable to arrange for the delivery to be uplifted and returned to us by our courier.
In instances where damage has occurred all packaging and goods should be retained by the consumer for further inspection.
It is implicit within the contract that the consumer will make every effort to comply with the requirements in making a claim for compensation against the carrier. In cases of compensation against Royal Mail for damage to or loss of goods, while we will provide the required documentation. The consumer is required to make the claim themselves.
All storage of goods during the claim process will be for the consumer’s account.
Where compensation for damaged supplies is made to Harrier Guitars Limited by a consumer the compensation will be paid to the consumer after any such compensation has been received by Harrier Guitars from hte carrier.
MULTI ITEM SHIPMENTS
For eBay non-guitar listings that include a separate shipping or postage and packing fee, where a customer has purchased more than one item and wishes to claim a discount for shipment of such multi-item shipment the recalculation of shipping/P&P costs will be calculated as follows:
The highest standard shipping cost for any of the items purchased within the consignment will be added to, half the standard shipping cost of the second highest shipping cost, one third of the third highest shipping cost, one fourth of the fourth highest shipping cost...etc.
Example (using rounded prices for the sake of simplicity): A purchase two separate size amplifiers, a set of strings and a pitch pipe.
Highest shipping cost (large amp) £20.00. One half of second highest shipping cost (mid sized amp) £10.00. One third of third highest shipping cost (strings) £1.50. One fourth of fourth highest shipping cost (pitch pipe) £1.00.
Therefore, total shipping cost £25.75, instead of full standard cost of £32.50.
A saving of £6.75.
PLEASE NOTE - Multi item shipping discounts described above are not applicable for guitars.
