In terms of equipment, you will need a new grip, a gripping cone (grip applicator) and a small length on electrical tape.  Both grips and cones are available in the getpaddedup Ebay Shop.

The first step is to use the gripping cone to roll the tubular grip into a tight
doughnut shape - slip the grip over the cone and roll down from narrow end to fat. As you roll, more and more pressure is required, it gets quite tightly packed.

The next step is to place the bat on the floor and the cones metal end over the end of the handle of the bat. Then push the rolled-up grip over the edge of the grip onto the bat handle. Most experts do this in one very rapid movement; you need to be steady and quick.

Keep rolling the grip down the handle to the shoulder of the bat. Roll the grip back and forth until the free end sits level with the shoulder of the bat. Then simply unroll - you can trim excess with scissors or fold it over or under. Finally, use a small amount of electrical tape around the shoulder to keep the grip in place.
