Otherwise, Walbro carburetors are commonly used on line-trimmers, leaf blowers, chain-saws, and edgers. Walbro was founded by Walter E. Walpole in November 1950. A product typically found in the automotive world of fuel injection, being used by tuners, are the Walbro Fuel Pumps, with the most common being the Walbro 255. TI Automotive purchased Walbro's automotive fuel pump division in approx yr 2000, and is the actual manufacturer of all Walbro branded automotive fuel pumps and fuel delivery modules. More recently they have released a new line of 'turbine' fuel pumps.

This is the most popular Walbro pump at the moment. The GSS342 (commonly referred to as the Walbro 255) high pressure pump is capable of supporting applications of up to around 500-600bhp. This pump is also an ideal direct OEM replacement for stock OEM pumps that have gone faulty in all aspects of cars, especially daily drivers. The Walbro F90000267, 'TIA485-2' or 'GST450K' is now the best in tank fuel pump on the market today. Whilst exceeding the Bosch 044 fuel pump for flow rate, its also far quieter, lighter and of a much more compact design to make installation easier. This units new award winning turbine design produces so much flow rate that it now removes the need for using a twin in-line double fuel pump set-up on high horse-power applications.
The innovative design of this pump features a single impeller with two parallel rows of turbine blades on a common shaft (like a jet engine). These blades feed two high-pressure pumping channels, as opposed to a conventional single-stage pump that uses an impeller with a single row of blades at its outer edge. This innovative design results in improved hot fuel flow, as well as minimal noise and current use, resulting in efficiency that’s 20% higher than conventional pumps.
This is the newer version of the 39/50 DC/SS pump that many people know as the 400LPH pump, however this version is E85 compatible and produces faster flow. All electrical connections must be sealed to be used with E85, therefore this updated version has a built in electrical harness with DELPHI manufactured Packard type connectors.

The GSL392 is a high pressure pump is capable of supporting applications up to 650BHP +. This pump is also an ideal direct OEM replacement or upgrade for externally mounted stock pumps that have gone faulty in all aspects of cars, especially daily drivers.
External fuel pumps are usually mounted outside of the fuel tank and sometimes alongside another in-line fuel pump on higher performance applications. They can also be used as a booster for an existing in-tank fuel pump.
This pump is capable of pushing fuel to your engine at a whopping 300 litres per hour, giving your car the juice it needs to achieve its maximum performance. In-line pumps can operate at a much higher pressure than an in-tank pump so this is a must have if you're building a high-performance machine.
