Delivery FAQ

Before contacting us regarding this matter, please note that there may be specific reasons out of our hands why you still haven't received your parcel yet.

 

Royal Mail

Royal Mail First Class can take up to:

  • UK 1-5 Working days
     
  • EU 5-12 Working days
     
  • International 7-15 Working days
     
  • In some cases Royal Mail Airmail can take up to 25 days to be delivered.

 

Please contact our customer support: support@driven2automotive.com if you still haven't received your package within these time frames.

Note, we cannot officially report your Item as being Lost In Post until a full 15 working days after it was dispatched from our Warehouse.

 

I've missed my delivery!

Usually if you miss a delivery, Royal Mail will leave a 'We called to collect / deliver your parcel' card. They will tick one of the options on the card, they are as follows:

1. We will deliver the parcel again tomorrow.

2. Your parcel has been left with a neighbour.

3. Your parcel has been taken your local Post Office branch.

4. Your parcel has been returned to our depot.

 

Please check these options first before contacting us to report that your package has not been delivered.

Adverse weather conditions that are out of our control, may also affect your delivery time.


Special Deliveries

Please bear in mind that our cut off point for Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery is 2:30pm, any orders that come in after this time will be sent the next working day.

On such a rare occasion that you didn't receive your package the very next day, please contact Customer Support (support@driven2automotive.com) to notify us about this as soon as possible. We'll do everything we can to sort this problem out for you swiftly.

You may also request a claim form from your local Post office if for reasons out of our control Royal Mail did not get your package to you the very next day.

Yes of course, just select a different delivery address when checking out but make sure your billing address is correct. If paying with Paypal please make sure your Paypal delivery address is the same as your eBay delivery address to avoid confusion and make sure it is correct! You'd be surprise by how many orders get sent back to us due to customers not writing their addresses correctly.

Postage costs will vary due to the size and weight of your package. All shipping fee's are calculated within eBay's system.

No deliveries can be made on Bank / Public Holidays. In addition, our warehouse is closed on Bank / Public Holidays so orders placed on these days will not be despatched until the following working day.

 

  • All orders will be sent on working days only, Monday to Friday. Any orders that are placed on Saturday or Sunday, will be sent on Monday.
  • No deliveries will be sent on bank or public holidays.
  • All delivery times are approximate and may be delayed due to circumstances outside of our control.
  • All Shipping fees include handling and packing fees.
  • Depending of the size and total weight of the item(s) that you’re ordering, postage/transport fees vary accordingly.

  • Once authorised, returns MUST include a note providing the information that you were instructed to give in the authorisation emails. The easiest way to do this is to print off the emails and include it within the return package.
  • As soon as you agree to buy an item on eBay, you're entering into a LEGAL CONTRACT.
  • Please make payment immediately after you purchase.
  • After 7 days of non-payment, an unpaid item dispute will be automatically opened.
  • If payment or contact is not received within 7 days of the dispute opening, it will then be closed and you'll receive an unpaid item strike and be warned by eBay. In this instance, any feedback you leave us will be removed. Please contact us with any issues where we always do our best to satisfy our customers before leaving feedback.

Unfortunately we cannot pay for your return fees, you may be charged a restocking fee also, depending on the specific reason for returning the part to us.

Paypal

We accept paypal, who also offer the option to pay via Debit/Credit card during the ebay checkout process.

Cheques are accepted however we will wait until the cheque has cleared before sending the item.

PayPal payments 'funded' by credit, debit card, or the balance in your PayPal account are instant - no delay in sending your item(s).

Please be aware that any PayPal payment that you 'fund' from your bank in the form of an 'E-cheque' takes 10 days to clear even though the money normally leaves your bank account in around 4 days.

Please contact PayPal if you have any queries about this. E-cheques through PayPal normally take around 10 days to clear.



Credit / Debit Card

You can use a credit or debit card without having a registered Paypal account. Select Paypal as payment method and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Longevity - If you look at how long your OEM (original) unit has lasted, chances are you're replacing an original factory part, so how old is your vehicle? In most cases Bosch or other original factory units will last 8-12 years if looked after with regular air filter changes.
  • Bosch / Siemens VDO parts will also give you the best performance and MPG.
  • You may only get 6-18 months using a cheap aftermarket unit.
  • Cheap aftermarket units give you 10%-20% less mpg - Work out 10-20% of your yearly fuel bill and that's how much you could potentially use if you decide to buy a cheaper part!
  • Why would you want to lose any BHP / Drivability in your car byfitting a cheap part?
  • To summarise, they're more expensive to buy but will save you money in the long run.

Basic test for a faulty MAF

(at owners risk, will only work on some vehicles) Note - If you have an OBD error code scanner, please use it before trying the following procedure.

1. Remove harness wire from the Air Mass Meter.

2. Start up the engine and check idle / throttle response.

3. If all seems well, proceed for a short drive.

4. If the throttle response and acceleration problems you were having are completely gone, this means the meter is faulty and needs replacing.

5. Do not under any circumstances drive your car for long periods or commute with the Air Mass meter disconnected, as this causes the onboard computer to mis-calculate the air / fuel mixture ratio and it may possibly cause premature engine damage.


Replace a faulty Mass Air Flow Meter ASAP, it will pay for itself with the increased fuel economy you will get. A Faulty MAF can lead to 20% or more degrade in MPG and performance. Just work out how much 20% of your yearly fuel bill is!

The installation is around a 2 -3 hour job:

1. Remove your remove your head lights.
2. Remove all the fittings and light bulbs.
3. You can use a heat gun or similar to heat the outer seal around the clear plastic front. Then you’ll be able to carefully pull the plastic front off the light housing. (you can also do this by putting each light in the oven at 150 degrees to soften the seal for 3-5 min. Please be careful as this is risky, Driven 2 Automotive will not accept any responsibility to any damage caused to the headlights.
4. Then install the rings and inverters.
5. Reverse the process to reseal the light, use any good waterproof sealant available at any DIY store.
6. Refit the headlights.
7. Take the power feed for the inverters from the existing sidelight wiring and solder together. Red wire = Positive, Black wire = Negative (ground)

GUARANTEE INFORMATION / FITTING GUIDE FOR MASS AIR FLOW METERS, INDUCTION PARTS/SENSORS INCLUDING EGR VALVES

  • Perform the following checks before installing your new unit otherwise you will invalidate your warranty
  • Inspect any vacuum hoses near your maf for splits/leaks clean your induction pipes and system to remove dirt/oil/grease
  • Replace air filter with a new one before installing new unit (keep your invoice for proof)
  • Disconnect the battery and then depress the brake pedal for 1 min (to drain the stored system power)
  • Fit new unit
  • Reconnect battery
  • Some vehicles will require OBD code reader to reset ECU and install part - please consult a workshop

 

Purchased item is covered for a period of 12 Months/10,000 Miles, whichever is soonest from the date of purchase (with the exclusion of lighting products that carry a gaurantee of 30 days)

The part has been installed by a workshop/professional with a service invoice to show this. A new AIR FILTER must be installed before the replacement unit is installed - Customers should also keep a record on this on the service invoice as proof for this. If you require a new air filter email us and we will provide you with a quote, air filters are not expensive and will save you money in the long run making your induction parts last longer

Guarantee Exclusions:

  • Vehicle is being used for commercial use
  • Track / Racing Vehicles
  • Sports / Induction / Cone type filters are not covered
  • DIY Installation Fitting (no service supporting documentation)
