About us

Hello and welcome.

We're Cocoon Kids - Creative Counselling & Play Therapy CIC - a calm, caring cocoon where children & young people aged 3-19 & their families come to safely explore their experiences, and reach their full potential.

Income shouldn't be a barrier to good quality services when they're needed. That's why we full-fund longer-term our sessions for our Priority families community, and champion and redress mental health equity and wellbeing for disadvantaged people of all ages.

We're a lived-experience team who've walked in the same shoes as many of the families: Priority, disadvantaged families living in social housing, on low incomes or benefits, often with intergenerational Trauma and traumatic experiences.

Set up in the pandemic, we use Attachment and Trauma Informed and 'Bottom Up' neuroscience-evidenced Sensory Regulatory & creative skills, approaches & practices for lasting long-term positive mental health & wellbeing and improved intergenerational outcomes.
