Postage Costs, Delivery Times, Delays and Claims

I use Parcel Force, Royal Mail and also other Couriers for deliveries, large parcels go by Parcel Force/Courier and smaller parcels/packets go by Royal Mail.
I look to dispatch items quickly and aim to deliver them in 3-5 working days most items are delivered quicker please check my feedback.
I aim to post my goods off as quickly as possible and within 24 hours of receiving the order. My main posting days are a Tuesday and Thursday (for orders taken before 4pm on the Monday and Wednesday) I do however receive a lot of orders every day and do try to post items out quicker. Over Bank Holiday Weekends I strive to dispatch my items as quickly as possible but please allow an extra day for delivery as I will have up to 4 days of orders to process on the tuesday when I return to work.
Please note that orders placed late on Friday and over the weekend won't be received and dealt with until the Monday morning.
Combined Shipping.
Unfortunately we do not combine shipping cost for our items, each items postage is worked out on weight and size so the larger the parcel the more the postage will be.
Delivery Times, Delays and Claims
Just a quick note about our delivery policies, please take the time to read this whole page.
Avoid any seller that claims that they are NOT responsible for any goods lost in the post, this is ILLEGAL under UK law.
Also avoid sellers that state they are only responsible if you take out the insurance, again this is ILLEGAL under both the 'Unfair Contracts Act 1976' and the 'Distance Selling Regulations 2000'.
PayPal Echeque Payments Despatch Details
If your payment is made through paypal's echeque payment method, dispatch will be delayed until the payment clears with PayPal. This usually takes 10-12 days. I will reserve your goods until payment clears, once payment clears I receive an email from paypal and will dispatch goods for delivery in 3-5 working days from that date (I advise 3-5 days as I am only able to post goods on a Tuesday and Thursday for orders taken before 4pm on the Monday and Wednesday (see above))
What does an echeque mean? It means that payment is either coming off your debit card or bank account and not a credit card or straight out of your paypal account (sometimes this is because your credit card on file with PayPal has expired). If there is any urgency I can cancel the echeque payment and you can either send a personal cheque to me or pay with an instant PayPal payment. Unfortunately I am unable to post goods off while the payment is pending as a small minority of ebayers have spoilt it for the many.
If your payment is made through PayPal echeque you will receive an email to let you know.
A WORD ABOUT POSTING TIMES AND INSURANCE
Being a business we have a good idea of how busy we are going to be, but sometimes even we can get caught out.
On an average day we usually ship between 70 - 100 parcels/packages, and we try our very hardest to get everything out in 24 hours which we usually do. But during the year we visit a lot of bowls clubs and play many games during the summer and this might mean orders placed over those weekends take up to 48 hours to dispatch.
As an average its usually between 3-5 working days after purchase before your goods arrive on your doorstep depending on whether they have gone Royal Mail or Parcel Force. Some items are delivered even quicker please see my feedback for proof.

INSURANCE
Absolutely all of our goods are insured for loss or damage in transit with an accurate address (if an incorrect address is registered with Ebay or PayPal and goods dispatched to these address' go missing I am unable to offer any compensation as I don't receive compensation from my couriers). PLEASE CHECK THE ACCURACY OF YOUR DETAILS.
CLAIMS
LOSS IN TRANSIT
We will honour all claims for loss in transit, but there are some rules that must be followed. No claims will be considered until 15 working days have elapsed from the date of posting, this is the time that has to elapse before Royal Mail considers anything lost.
Once this time limit has expired and you haven't got your goods, we will happily either re-send them or refund the cost of your purchase including postal costs. If you have difficulty with delivery please don't hesitate to contact me by the "Ask Seller A Question" link on any item .
DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
We will honour all claims for damage, there is no waiting period for this type of claim, however there are some rules.
We require that you keep the packaging for up to 6 weeks to be made available for inspection by Royal Mail.
We require a photo of the damage to the goods AND the original packaging, or the product to be returned complete with original packaging to us BEFORE we will honour the claim. Please don't hesitate to contact me by the "Ask Seller A Question" link on any item if you have any queries.
Once we have these we will honour the claim by either re-posting or refunding.
FRAUDULENT CLAIMS (this only applies to a small minority)
It is a sad fact of life that some people are less than honest, and attempt to make claims for goods not received when in reality they have actually had them.
As stated above we honour all claims, however when we claim for the loss we inform Royal Mail fully of all details of the customers, this is so that they can identify any failings in their systems, and also add your details to a database of addresses where mail has gone astray.
If x number of claims come in from an address, Royal Mail will blacklist that address, and can and will investigate in conjunction with the relevant law enforcement agencies. |
