Welcome to the Ebay shop for Street Level Models and CDC design Street Level Models started back in 2000, following a period of experimentation as to the best and fastest way to produce model buildings. Up to that time I had been working in sheet plastic, brass, balsa, and plastic strip. Working to tight time constraints in an Architectural practice brought it home to me that some of the techniques used there could, with a little adjustment, be brought into hobby model making. I combined CAD systems, photo and art software with practical knowledge of building construction both full size and in model form to produce the first Street Level Models kit. With some further tweaks to bring more uniformity, and improve surface textures, I arrived at most of the products you can buy here now. Alongside the building kits, I started designing kits for London Underground rolling stock, which has now grown to a huge range, and I'm still working on more. There are Tube stock, and Surface stock, and for the continental modeller, kits for the Paris Metro Sprague, MP55 and MP59 stock types. You can also buy our card tram kits, which, like the trains, be glazed, fitted with interiors, and motorised. The great benefit of our kits is that one single motor bogie will easily haul a four car train, especially if you use proprietory trailing bogies, such as those manufactured by Metromodels for tube stock.
