About us

Boiler Room Records has been buying and selling vinyl records in Poole – Dorset for over 30 years. We started out as a humble market stall in a local in-door market. At the time, the only space that was available in the market had a large boiler taking up quarter of the space – and there you have it… Boiler Room Records was born.

After 15 years trading from the market stall, we moved into a bricks & mortar shop and still our current home today in the heart of Poole Old Town. Surrounded by buildings dating back to 1600s, we are located on the quaint pedestrianised high street which runs through the middle of the Old Town – just a 200m walk from historic Poole Quay with its beautiful natural harbour and beaches. The Poole Old Town community features independent stores, pavement coffee shops, restaurants and bars, a real eclectic mix.

In 2019 we had a major rebrand, fit out of the shop, and launched our online shop to bring us into the 21st century.
