Fisher Price Great Adventures
The Great Adventures Collection was released in 1994 and discontinued in 2000.
The Collection was meant to bridge the gap for boys between the Little People and Action figures.
The Collection is made up of the Castle, Pirate, Western including Fort Dakota and Robin Hood sets
The first to be released was the Castle, Boulder Blaster, Jousting Knights and three knight figure packs - 1 gold, 1 black and one multicolored (later to be renamed the kings guard).
Further Castle sets included - Purple Wizard set, the red dragon (with tamer), Dragon Duel, Dragon Tower, Fire and Ice Brigade, Giant, Dungeon Trap, Fire Breathing Dragon, Trojan Horse.
Next came the Pirate Ship, pirate island, Shark Raft, Blue Beard Pirates, Skeleton Mates and Bandit Pirates.
Other Priate sets included - Ghost Raiders, Mighty Mouth Whale, Claw crew & yellow Jacks, Vikings Fury, Sea Serpent, Lost at sea, 2nd smaller Pirate (dragon)ship.
Also the Shipwrecker Sub.
Next the Wild Western Town, Buckaroo Bull, Cannonball Coach, Rustler's Roundup, Fool's Gold set.
In 1998 the Robin Hood's Forest was released.
The Magic Castle, Royal Coach, Dragon (red), Cyclops, Haunted Castle (skeleton/Ghost/mummy), Sorcerers (wizard/witch/orb)
The Fort Dakota was next along with the Indian Village, Indian chief and Buffalo, Fort Dakota Canoe and Covered Wagon.
Further Fort Dakota sets included, Indian with horse, Cavalry with Horse and Bandit with Horse.
There were 3 Legendary Heroes - Robin Hood, Davy Crockett and King Arther - all around the same size as the Rescue Heroes.
Besides the large sets there were also mini sets released.
All - in - 1 Castle, All - in - 1 Fort, All - in - 1 Space Shuttle, All - in - 1 Sub, All - in - 1 Pirate Ship, All - in - 1 Construction.
I think this is a wonderful collection with great items for imaginitive play.
