A piece of silver history prides itself on selling high quality solid silver antiques. A silver antique can be a great investment and price is determined by a number of factors. The Quality, the age, the maker and the weight. In some instances the maker is the most important factor especially if pieces are made by a prolific silversmith as they will be a great investment and will continue to appreciate in value . The age is also a factor you are going to pay more for something that is 250 years old than something that was made in the 20th century again this will increase in value more than a modern piece. The weight is important but remember small things can be worth a lot more than heavy items if they are harder to find. The quality this is also of great importance but to find perfection in silver antiques is almost impossible as surface marks are inevitable. All items are for sale at the odd antique fair that i still do so please if you want apieceofsilverhistory at great prices don't leave it to long.
