Postage & Packaging Charges
We aim to charge approximately what it costs us to post your items. This cost includes what we are charged by Royal Mail, the cost of packaging, and our time in picking, packing and posting your order.
In the UK we offer free P&P on many of our smaller items. On larger items such as yarn or long needles we charge a fixed price regardless of how many items you buy (as long as you buy them all together). If you want to upgrade your postage to 1st class or recorded you'll only need to pay this price once, but you may have to ask for an invoice so that we can ensure this happens correctly.
For our overseas customers we aim to keep our postage costs as low as possible. If the postage you are being charged seems too much, please get in touch with us and we'll look into it. If you still aren't happy with the prices we will be happy to cancel your order - as long as it hasn't been shipped of course!
To keep your P&P charges down - and to help us keep our prices down - please ensure that you do not pay for items individually. Instead you should pay for them all together. eBay should automatically work out a postage price for you, or you can ask us to put together a combined invoice.
If you think you have been overcharged please get in touch and we will look into it. Please be aware that if you have paid for multiple items individually, then the costs we incur are higher than if you paid for them together.
We will normally dispatch your item within one business day and often the same day if paid for before noon. As we are based in the UK please be aware that your dispatch may be delayed due to national UK holidays.
Whilst we aim to dispatch your order rapidly, this is no guarantee that the postal service will be as rapid. Please consider this, and that we have no control over how fast the postal service is, when rating us.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world.
The vast majority of our orders are sent using Royal Mail.
In the UK, with 1st class, Royal Mail aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch. 2nd class aims for delivery on the 3rd working day. However, with both services they can take considerably longer. Royal Mail does not consider it lost unless 15 working days have passed since it was due to be delivered.
Royal Mail aim to take up to 7 business days to ship to the rest of the world. Royal Mail does not consider it lost unless 25 working days (20 for Europe) have passed since it should have been delivered.
Once we have dispatched the item we have no control over how long it will actually take to deliver the item, and ask that you keep this in mind when rating us for dispatch speed.
Our standard delivery options are not tracked. If you want a tracking number, please select "International Signed for" or "Recorded" - or get in touch with us.
We offer a "no quibble" return policy. You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund (less shipping costs). We'll pay the shipping costs both ways if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
Additionally, your rights to return goods may be protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods (at your cost) within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition (unless faulty/flawed on receipt).
Your refund will be paid within 30 days and normally much sooner.
