Passat Gear Knob & Gaiter - Removal & Refitting

 

Lift the Front of the Gaiter Locking Ring

& lift the Gaiter over the Gear Knob

Using a pair of pliers, twist the crimp ring until slackened enough to release the old Gear Knob (Use Pliers in the direction of the arrows)

Remove & refit new the Gear Knob & crimp the new Crimp Ring once in place,

slide the rear of the Gaiter Locking Ring into place & click the front edge in.
