Steps to Measure your Windows

Measuring Guidelines
1. Use only a steel measuring tape
2. Measurements must be accurate and to the nearest
millimetre
3. Decide on how you want the blinds fitted: inside
your window recess 'Recess Size' or outside 'Blind Size'.
4. Always measure the width first, then the
drop/length.
5. Record your measurements in the same
order.
6. Finally, re-check your measurements to ensure
accuracy.
If measuring inside the recess 'Recess
Size'
Measure at the 6 points indicated in the picture
diagram. Record the smallest dimension as 'Recess Size'. This will result in the
headrail being made 12-13mm narrower in width and the slats being made 8-10mm
shorter in length to allow for a snug fit inside the recess.
If measuring outside the recess 'Blind
Size'
Measure at the 6 points indicated in the
picture diagram For best results, add an overlap of 100mm to the largest dimension and
record your measurements as 'blind size'. This will result in the blind being
made to the exact measurements specified.
