POSTAGE RATES: Thrifty Beatnik believes in the old-fashioned notion of fair play; if you pay for your item fast you get your item fast. Our courier collects bright and early at 9am every weekday morning to deliver your order as quickly as possible in our strong mailing bags. If you pay for Special Delivery or 1st Recorded you must contact us via 'Ask Seller' below after payment to jump the queue.
UNITED KINGDOM POST: At Thrifty Beatnik we offer a free economy postage on the vast majority of our items. As this is a basic service we -strongly recommend- that you upgrade to a swifter recorded service as we discount this to just a couple of pounds to give you peace of mind. Also if you do choose for this service, our flat rate postage cost means that you only pay the highest postage of a single item and not a penny more as long as you 'Add To Basket' everything you want -then- checkout altogether, allowing you to buy as a wardrobe of items without any further costs.
INTERNATIONAL POST: We post all overseas orders via 'Royal Mail International Signed For' and offer combined postage. Your item will come with a tracking number, and a signature will be required upon receipt. Unfortunately the eBay system doesn't allow for us to discount your postage costs in real-time so please' Add To Basket' all the items you want before you check out with Paypal. After weighing your order we will rebate the excess costs back to you ASAP.
Due to certain international postal services losing untracked items in transit we now require International signed for on auctions for certain countries. Please do not ask us to send untracked as we cannot be liable for loss and will not bend on this policy after refunding too many lost items in good faith. All buyers are responsible for their countries custom fees and charges.
IMPORTANT INFO: Due to a small minority of problem buyers ruining our 1p sales for everyone, we have a strict limit of one auction sale item every 10 days with no exceptions.
NON-RECIEPT: If you don't receive your item within 7 days in the UK or 14 days worldwide simply get in touch via the 'Ask Seller. We're very liberal with the refunds at our complete loss of item and postage if you’re friendly and helpful with your order info. We always post orders even if they end for 1p with free postage but if you cannot bear the thought of your one-off item going astray please upgrade to a recorded service for peace of mind.
FEEDBACK: Once happy with your order please leave five star feedback (This helps us keep prices low and maintain our Charity and World Famous 1p section) and our system will match it for you instantly. Threats of negative feedback will not be answered and, due to the amount we sell, have very little impact on anything other than slowing down a refund in the event that there is a problem. You wouldn't graffiti on the walls of a shop would you? Please do not leave neutral or negative feedback without contacting us first as if left we will have to request your phone number from eBay and call you to show we're real, honest, hard-working people at Thrifty Beatnik HQ not just an anonymous computer screen staring blankly at you. Our feedback is testimony to our reliability but recently due to too many unnecessary problems with inexperienced eBayers (who don't understand the returns policy or read the item condition guide) and Royal Mail delays (which are entirely out of our control ) we've had a couple of unnecessary blips. I'm sure you realise that, even with tens of thousands of positive transactions, not every customer is exactly diplomatic or helpful online.
LEGAL STUFF: We include the below for the small minority of buyers who disagree with the above paragraphs exceptions and attempt to use Trading Standards as a somewhat misinformed threat. As a seller of second-hand goods that is fully described in the listing title, item specifics, condition section and the comprehensive photographs in the slideshow we are under no obligation to give quibble-free refunds for some of the common reasons given, but we do because we would rather have happy and informed buyers. Trading Standards: Sellers Rights for Second-Hand Goods
You will not have any rights against the seller in the following circumstances:
-You were told about the fault, but decided to purchase the goods anyway;
-You simply changed your mind about the goods, for example, because they did not fit or the colour was wrong;
-You damaged the item yourself by misuse or accident;
-Where fault arises from fair wear and tear;
-You made a mistake when purchasing the item;
-You did not try the item on before purchasing,
*We dislike having to include this stuff but, as usual, it's a small minority of difficult buyers who try to ruin our returns policy for everyone else.
TERMS OF SALE: The right to purchase will be withdrawn under these circumstances
-Buyers with negative feedback comments are not permitted to bid or buy.
-Buyers under 50+ feedback must get in contact before buying or bidding.
-Buyers with eBay Shops are not allowed to bid or buy.
-Resellers of items similar to ours are not allowed to bid or buy.
-Buyers asking to post to an alternative address are not allowed to bid or buy. If they do it will be sent to your registered paypal address
-Buyers who do not read clearly listed information or use inappropriate language will have their right to purchase withdrawn.

LIABILITY: Though this is entirely impossible we have to say it: We are not liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. There are only so many things you can influence. We have the tracking codes for every order. Just ask. We will not be responsible for any losses resulting from your use or the inability to use our website. If this results in unauthorized access to, or alteration of your transmissions or data in circumstances, you can’t blame us. We will not be responsible for your loss of profits, wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or any other loss which does not directly result from something we have done wrong.
INDEMNITY: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Thrifty Beatnik and affiliates, from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from, without limitation, your use of the Thrifty Beatnik's services, your breach of the Terms of Service, your infringement of any intellectual property right or any other right of any person or entity, or your breach of any duty of confidence or privacy, or any defamatory statements made by you in any form.
