General Interest

Third World TrAid We aim to stock as wide a range of authentic Nepalese, Tibetan and other goods as we can. We presently have over 900 items listed in 32 separate categories and 23 sub-categories. Also we always have goods waiting to be listed, so if you do not see what you want just email us - we may have it in stock!

If there are items we do not have we can always order them for you - we usually require a small deposit for this in case we can't sell the item should you change your mind!

Most of our items come from Nepal, but there are also goods from Tibet, Bhutan, Peru and Zambia - and we are hoping to expand our range in time. All are from the Third World and LDC's (less developed countries).

You can see a small sample of our range in the photographs here, but please see our shop for the full range.

Among the multifarious items we stock are the following, which is very far from a complete list:

various prayer flags, singing bowls, bags and cushions, hanging sheets and table covers, mirror covers, bed sheets and door covers, prayer wheels, various thangkas, monk's robes, statues of Buddha along with various other statues of Buddhist and Hindu significance, ghanta bella, dorjes, vajras, tingsha bells, incense and incense holders, boxes, jewellery, damarus, Buddhist hangings and banners, batiques, cushion covers, books and book covers, pashminas, shoes, woolen items including hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and fun hats, kettles, monk's shoulder bags, various items with Ashtamangalas or Om Mantra, khata scarves and a vast assortment of tea in silk bags.

We sell items for individual use but also to Buddhist groups and monasteries. Obviously a large number of items are also suitable for non-Buddhists too.

Many of the items will make excellent and unusual gifts We stock only high quality items which have been made in Nepal etc and buy only from individual local traders so the producers get the rewards.

Our founding partner goes to Nepal regularly to source goods and find more to add to our stock. We get in new shipments roughly every 2 months.

As well as selling individual items, we combine postage for multiple items, and also give generous discounts for bulk purchases.

We also trade wholesale at special terms - please see separate page or request our latest newsletter.
