PLEASE NOTE ROYAL MAIL HAVE INCREASED THEIR POSTAL RATES SIGNIFICANTLY
IN 2012 AND WE HAVE HAD TO INCREASE SOME SERVICES ACCORDINGLY. THIS IS
BEYOND OUR CONTROL.
Postage & Packing Charges
We charge postage and packing at cost, and include VAT currently set at 20%. All items despatched from us are wrapped with care. Our charges include: high grade protective packaging - custom made postal boxes to ensure the safe arrival of your item(s); labelling and premium tape; product gift wrapping and associated services; travel costs and postage fees. We do combine postage where more than one item has been purchased.
Gift Wrap
We provide gift wrapping free of charge to all customers as part of their buying experience. We use the following items because it is easier to incorporate with out current protective postal boxes and envelopes. Pilgrim Jewellery will arrive wrapped in branded tissue and in most cases a gift bag. This varies from season to season and is subject to availability. If you are buying more than one item and receiving combined postage your order will receive combined gift wrapping which reduces the cost of packaging and also to avoid unnecessary waste.
PLEASE NOTE: the number of gift bags and/or boxes supplied with larger orders will be at our discretion taking into consideration the combined postage charge.
IF YOU DO NOT REQUIRE GIFT WRAP PLEASE DISCUSS THIS WITH US BEFORE YOUR ITEM IS DESPATCHED. IF YOU REQUIRE BAGS AND/OR BOXES FOR EACH ITEM YOU HAVE PURCHASED YOUR ORDER WILL BE SUBJECT TO A SLIGHTLY HIGHER POSTAL/PACKAGE CHARGE - TO DISCUSS YOUR REQUIREMENTS PLEASE CONTACT US.

UNITED KINGDOM
Within the United
Kingdom, ALL items will now be sent via Recorded Delivery. Due to losses
there will be no exceptions, for this we are sorry, the few spoiling it
for the majority!
Large Letter Box
Rate - if possible we will send your item in this category. We charge £2.95
First Class Recorded - if possible we will not charge you any more than this
amount if the items can be fitted in this size of box.
Packet Box Rates
- bulkier items that will not fit in a large letter box will be sent as a
'packet'. We have introduced two bands here, due to the higher rates now
charged. 2nd Class Recorded Packet £3.50 and 1st Class recorded Packet £3.95 -
if possible we will not charge you any more than this amount if the items can be
fitted in this size of box.
Special Delivery - Next
Day Delivery
Is charged at £6.90 - you can
add as many items as you wish and you won't be charged any more than £6.90.
It's impossible
to apply a correct postage system on EBay - if our system over charges (and on the whole it does get this bit wrong) then please wait and 'request total from seller' before you progress and pay. If you have already paid (this is usually spotted and we will refund it) then please let us know.

WORLD-WIDE/INTERNATIONAL
World-Wide/International buyers - due to a high number of losses we will now only send international orders via a recorded method.
Please note: this charge includes: postal boxes, packaging materials, postage and travel expenses.
We use 'International Signed-For' which starts at £8.50 for the first item and then £0-50 per subsequent item. Please see below for further clarification:
1 ITEM = £8.50
2 ITEMS = £9.00
3 ITEMS = £9.50
On
bulkier/heavier items the first charge starts at £9.50
for the first item and then £0-50 per
subsequent item.
This service requires a signature
upon receipt. It allows us to send items securely whilst minimising the risk of loss/theft.
PLEASE NOTE - we do reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion. For instance high value orders being sent to countries we do not normally ship to e.g Eastern Europe - unless the order is split into smaller consignments and a postal fee will be applied to each parcel. PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE YOU BUY TO ENSURE YOU ARE CLEAR ABOUT OUR POSTAL POLICY.
PLEASE - ensure you have the correct shipping address on your account details. We are constantly amazed at the number of times we have sent items to addresses that buyers no longer reside at!

We do post worldwide - rates are competitive and include very secure packaging. There are some countries that we will NOT send to unless we can send the items via 'International Signed-For' or if available 'Airsure'.

We do combine postage on multiple purchases made within one transaction.

If you are bidding on more than one item and would like to combine postage please 'request total' from seller when you have finished bidding/buying. The correct postage may not be applied automatically.

The postage and packing fees cover secure packaging materials, labels, fuel charges, boxes, etc., please do not bid if you don't agree with the postage and packing costs.

No local pickup for auction customers.

Items are posted via first class mail, within 1-2 days of receiving payment, if you have chosen special delivery your item will be posted within one working day.

Please note - due to the high incidence of lost items we have now had to introduce new security measures that have added to the cost of P & P. We now obtain a certificate of posting for every item despatched and in the unlikely event your item does go missing. The Royal Mail have stepped up security and they will prosecute false claims.

If your item was sent via a recorded method and it goes missing - we will track and trace this item for you.

We reserve the right, in some circumstances, to apply recorded delivery. This will be done in the following circumstances: if your purchase exceeds £15.00; you purchase more than one item; you live in a country that we don't normally post to. We are sorry that we have to be so strict but due to a high number of lost post claims we risk going out of business. This is for our security and yours.

Please note if your order is of a high value we reserve the right to apply a safer method of postage which may incur a higher postal fee. PLEASE ASK for a postal quote before you make larger purchases - this especially applies to overseas customers.
