Pavements

There was two different categories of Pavements made for the Minic Minic Motorways trackage system :-

i) Low level (on the ground) pavements with a built in grass verge

ii) High Level pavements which have the sidewalls on the top and the bridge arches moulded on the underside

The grassy (low levels) have an extensive and comprehensive range which has components which fit almost all of the track sections (none were made for the quarter straights) including sections for the centre of both straight and curved dual carriageways. It is difficult to design a layout were the roads can't have pavements sections to match.

The High Level range was much more restricted to a more simple bridge combination where only Gradient Bases, Standard Straights, Gradient Summits, Hump Bridge Summits and 45 Degree Bends were catered for. The 45 Degree Bends are the rarest and the most sought after. Do remember if you want a High level 90 Bend you can't use a 90 Degree Bend - the pavements won't fit - you need two 45's.

Much less of the pavements were made than track sections and so makes this section of the range desirable to collectors.

In the shop both types of user are catered for, those who want to build a layout and use the pavements and those who want to collect the mint ones.

The High Level Pavements are as easy to categorise as the track and I will continue to use the same criteria for decribing their condition.

The Grassy variety has many flavours of production and survival features which make the categorisation of condition a bit of a nightmare, but I have tried to produce a fair table (below) of what you can expect. Bear in mind these items are all more than 30 years old - the glue technology wasn't anywhere near what we have come to expect today. Some of the grass has some brown patches where the glue under the grass has leached some of it's colouring into the grass  (I actually like this 'maturity', after all where do you see pure green grass?). Some of the sections produced had areas where the grass was never applied and this at first glance looks bald. (I have opened brand new boxes for the first time and found this phenomena). Don't forget, if you disagree with me, then you can have your money back - without question.

Category A - Mint unused - The item is in perfect condition - I am sure of  it's provenence and know it is unused.
Category B - Mint - The item is in perfect condition.
Category C - Near Mint -  The item is in perfect condition marred only by the odd minor imperfection.
Category D - Excellent Used - I know it's been used but only the items in very good condition are sold. This will include minor imperfections including light brown marks or minor grass loss.

In all cases ALL the lugs are intact and each piece is complete and has been cleaned to the highest standard.

Items are always described carefully and consistently in order to give confidence - read my feedback from past buyers,  many who have made repeat purchases.
My guarantee to refund any item not as described stands or falls on accurate descriptions.
