~ Cemetery Permit Fees Explained ~
The Cemetery or Church yard will usually charge you a 'permit fee' to allow us to erect a memorial or headstone on the grave.

This is to cover the cost of checking the name and signature of the registered owner of the grave, that the inscription is within the guide lines allowed and that the proposed memorial is allowed.

Some cemeteries only allow granite memorials or granite headstones. Different finishes such as high polished, honed or rustic are allowed to finish the headstone memorial. Once you have informed us of the memorial you are considering we will contact the cemetery and obtain a permit form and the regulations to help you make a more informed choice.

The cost of the permit fee will be passed on to you by us at cost. This fee will very from £30-£300 depending on the cemetery. We will check for you and advise you.

 Our Range of Materials

~ Granite - For Everlasting Memorials ~

Available in a range of colours, Granite is the hardest material used and virtually indestructible. Polishing granite brings out the beauty of the material. Ornamentation is achieved by etching and deep sandblasting. Granite memorials are usually 3" thick. In recent months we have been importing 4" thick material. This being used for our 'Exclusive Memorial' range. The extra thickness allows us to produce carvings in the granite headstones that have not been seen before.

~ Italian White Marble - The Traditional Material ~

Most widely used for sculpture and carving. The appearance of this material has been synonymous with the splendour of memorial carvings for centuries. The white Sicilian marble memorials are all 3" thick material with lettering in incised and black enamelled letters. Although Marble is some times considered to be an old fashioned material we still love the traditional look of the finished headstone and believe that there is room for all types of finishes and carvings.

 ~ Stone Memorials ~

Stones such as Nabresina and Portland are mainly used in churchyards. All our marble memorials can also be produced in these stones.
