WATER RESISTANT WATCHES

 

If you require a watch with water resistance, please ensure that the water resistant rating is suitable for your needs. We usually state the water resistance rating in our item descriptions. More importantly, however, the manufacturers state the guaranteed rating on the dial or watch casebacks. If there is no water resistance rating featured on your watch - then it probably is not water resistant.

The appropriate selection of watches will then appear for you!

 

 ADVICE: Your guarantee and Statutory Rights may be invalidated if you do not adhere to the manufacturer's guidance. (e.g. If you dive into the swimming pool wearing a watch with only a 30M or 50M rating)!

 

 WATER RESISTANCE RATINGS.

 

30 Metres - resistant to splashes only

50 Metres - suitable for swimming and other surface water sports

100 Metres - suitable for poolside diving

200 Metres - suitable for scuba diving with oxygen cylinders

 

 

* If your new watch has a waterproof screw type crown 'winder' please read the instructions before attempting to adjust the time – as your guarantee will be invalidated if you force the crown (‘winder’) and break the waterproof seal. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE CROWN 'WINDER' IS FULLY TIGHTENED AT ALL TIMES – PARTICULARLY BEFORE PUTTING THE WATCH IN WATER.
