*COMBINED POSTAGE DEAL. For any items where a postage charge is incurred, you will only have to pay the full postage charge for the heaviest item with the highest postage charge first. Then you will only pay a £1 postage and package charge for the second and subsequent items (which can be posted at the same time); anywhere in the world. SIMPLY COMMIT TO BUY ALL THE ITEMS BEFORE YOU PAY. EBay will then combine your items in one invoice and allocate your postage discount.

POSTAGE & PACKAGING

 

We are a Mail Order Company. We work from a business unit. We regret that it is not possible to offer a pick up facility for personal callers.

 

  • We pack & post every day Monday to Friday. We have a Royal Mail business priority service collection every working day which enables us to ensure a rapid despatch. Your items will be despatched via THE GIFT WATCH, PO BOX 594, OLDHAM, OL1 9FL. (This is also the return address if you need to return your item. Please also send any written communications to this address).

  • We try to post items on the same or next working day after payment is received - and we usually suceed - unless we have some kind of trauma! 

  • We always use Royal Mail first class service. We do not use second class services.

  • We will send you an e-mail as soon as your item has actually been left in the hands of Royal Mail, so that you can prepare to receive it. (Many of our packages will not fit in a letter box).

  • All documentation for Recorded / Special Delivery is retained. If you require a tracking number for your Recorded delivery, please let us know. (We also obtain a dated, stamped and signed Royal Mail Certificate of Proof of Posting for every item sent by Standard Delivery).

  • We mainly use brand new, quality packing materials. (If you need to return your item for a refund, please protect it by re-cycling the packaging, if possible). Occasionally, if we need a substantial amount of packaging to stop items from moving around in their boxes during transit, we may include clean re-cycled packaging materials.

  • If you want us to post an item on the same day as you pay - in conjunction with the UK Royal Mail 'Next Day/Special Delivery' postage option (Mondays to Fridays only); please e-mail us before you buy - to find out whether or not we can catch the post! Thank you! 

 

 

POSTAGE CHARGE REDUCTIONS

 If you wish to buy several items (at the same time); you only need to pay for the item with the highest priced postage charge first, and then pay only £1 Postage & Packing for every subsequent item. Simply commit to buy each item you require, and then pay for them altogether.  eBay will automatically allocate your postage reduction for you. (If your eBay invoice does not allocate your postage reduction correctly, let us know and we will change it manually for you). This postage charge reduction also applies to customers from overseas.

 

 
MISSING ITEMS IN THE POST

We will let you know when we have despatched your item so that you will have some idea of when to expect delivery.

If your item does not get delivered when expected, please telephone your local Royal Mail Sorting Depot to see if they are holding your package for you. (In theory, the postal delivery workers should leave a card to let you know that they tried to deliver when you were out - but in practice, it doesn't always happen)! You will need to take some form of ID when you go to collect it.

Royal mail will hold a package for 1 - 3 weeks, and then they will return it to us. If Royal Mail return an item to us which has not been collected during the 3 weeks they have made it available for you, we will contact you by e-mail to let you know. We will need to make a second postage charge before despatching a second time.

If the staff at your local Royal Mail sorting office say that your item is not there - let us know - and we will submit a P58 'Damaged, Delayed or lost UK and International Mail' form to Royal Mail on your behalf, using the Recorded Delivery Certificate with the tracking reference code. We will normally make a refund around 10 working days after the anticipated date of delivery, subject to your co-operation regarding the P58/ P91 Royal Mail claim for compensation.  (Please note that an investigating officer from Royal Mail will contact you for information relating to the missing item. Please also be aware that a signed declaration will have to be made, and that a false claim for compensation could result in criminal prosecution).

 

POSTAGE & PACKAGING CHARGES

We despatch quickly and cost effectively for our customers. We do not make a profit from posting and packaging services. (In fact, we actually subsidise many of the costs).

Our charges include new quality packaging materials such as bubble wrap, padded Jiffy bags, custom built boxes (for sunglasses), ink and tape etc; administration and labour costs including the printing of address labels and receipts; storage and distribution costs; and Royal Mail business collection charges - all in addition to the cost of the Royal Mail First Class Recorded/ Special Delivery stamp.

 

 

POSTAGE CHARGE REFUNDS 

Please note that postage charges are not refundable - unless we have made a mistake - eg. If we sent the wrong item by mistake!
