Under UK law we are required to be VAT registered. With this in mind we have chosen to advertise our eBay pricing as follows...
Unless otherwise stated in an offer, all the items we offer on eBay INCLUDE VAT.
Please note that we are required to levy VAT according to the following guidelines...
UK mainland bidders: VAT at the prevailing rate must be levied on all products we sell, new or used, as well as on any associated charges (e.g. shipping costs). VAT registered customers may, of course, reclaim the VAT at their next VAT return date.
EU bidders: unless you are VAT registered, VAT at the prevailing UK rate applies to the prices of all products we sell, new or used, as well as on any associated charges (e.g. shipping costs), as if you were purchasing from within the UK. However, if you are VAT registered and can provide us with an official order or letterhead showing your billing/shipping address along with your valid VAT number and then we can deduct the VAT amount from your total and supply you 'zero rated'.
International Non-EU bidders: if you are bidding from outside the European Union you are exempt from paying UK VAT. We will deduct the VAT amount from your total.
