TERMS and CONDITIONS
Email Communication: (VERY IMPORTANT!) Please use the eBay My Messages email system for communicating with me at any time. If you do not appear to get a response then please check your email bulk/Spam folder or settings as my email may be blocked by your settings – or alternatively check your eBay My Messages folder first. Please note that I never ignore emails but sometimes, especially during weekends, it can take 24 hours turnaround so please allow a reasonable amount of time for me to reply. Please check that my shop is not on holiday or listings showing a delay, as I do have other commitments outside of eBay that sometimes require my time. Your courtesy will always be appreciated and returned!
Shipping: I post Monday-Friday (and often also Saturday whenever circumstances allow). All purchases are posted out within 2 working days of CLEARED payment, most often within 24hrs whenever I can. Delicate items may take a little longer as I will take the time to wrap and pack carefully. You will ALWAYS receive an email with the shipping details when the item has been dispatched, either from myself through eBay, or via Paypal. A lot of shipping confirmation emails from Paypal are "bouncing back" to Paypal as undelivered or blocked by your ISP. So if you don't appear to have had communication from me please check your junk mail folder, ensure that the email address you use for Paypal is not full, etc.
Returns & Exchanges: Under Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your purchase within 7 days. If you wish to return your purchase you must do so within 7 days of receiving it. Please email me first and let me know that you will be returning it so that I know to expect it. When it arrives back with me I will then refund your original payment, minus the original postage cost. Please be aware that any return postage is at your cost.
Postage & Packaging Costs: I usually only charge actual postage cost. If I do charge any additional packaging cost it is normally a meagre 10p which helps towards my jiffy bag/packaging cost, which you can of course recycle.
For all combined postage charges, these are automatically calculated by eBay's system if you are purchasing more than one item within the same listing. If you multi-purchase from different listings then please wait for me to send you a combined invoice or you will be paying too much postage and I may overlook it. Please don't pay for each item separately or Paypal will charge me multiple fees for each transaction and I won't be able to pass on any postage savings to you. If you are unsure about anything please just ask!
Leaving negative feedback: is supposed to be a last resort when all else has failed with your seller, not the first sign to your seller that anything is wrong!! Please use the feedback system wisely. Most buyer/seller issues can be resolved with a single email. So do make the effort to contact me if you need to.
eBay's Five Star Feedback System: As you may or may not know, eBay's new Five Star scoring system is not only for other buyers to see a particular seller's rating on the item sold, communication, dispatch time, postage charges, etc., it is used by eBay primarily (and more importantly for eBay!) to monitor a seller's performance and subsequently determine that seller's eBay fees!!! Which can ultimately affect the seller's prices to future buyers! In other words, if a buyer marks the seller with anything less than 5 stars, eBay class it as a negative response (for example: ticking a 4 star “reasonable” on postage costs instead of a 5 star “very reasonable” is classed as a negative!) and sellers can be penalised in the way eBay determine their fees. If eBay fees go up then invariably a seller's prices have to go up for them to make selling on eBay still viable, hence the cost ends up with the buyer! Something of a vicious circle?
Therefore, if you have any concerns at all just contact me! If you really feel you can't give me 5 Stars then please let me know. The last thing I want is a customer who isn't pleased with their purchase on all levels.
International Buyers: Please remember I have absolutely NO CONTROL over Royal Mail's airmail postage costs, volumetric weights and size restrictions, airmail shipping times, etc. If I continue to be marked down by International Buyers on shipping costs and dispatch times then I will have no choice but to restrict my auctions to UK buyers only. |
