FYI - Think the shipping is too high?
Please note that eBay & Paypal (as of Oct. 2012) take a FEE from sellers of over 12% on the SHIPPING price you paid & that the shipping rate you see on your package is not a true reflection of what I have actually paid in fees & postage between eBay and USPS mail it to you. For example: If your shipping is $5 they take 12% of the $5
as a fee - so I am left with $4.40 to mail it to you - excluding the
packaging and the time for me to drop off at my mail drop.
This is a change in policy that I believe eBay has not made any attempts to make buyers aware of. Please let eBay know if you do not like it as much as I do!
eBay would prefer I increase the price of my fabrics to "include" the shipping rate - which then eliminates any combined shipping rate that you get now. For example: 8 yards cotton @$10 = $80 + $6 for combined shipping = $86 OR the eBay prefered method of $13.50 per yard (hiding the shipping in the price) x 8 yards = $108.00 but you got free shipping right? Which would you rather pay?
This policy will eventually cause even higher shipping rates to be passed onto the buyer so that sellers can stay in business. I want to continue to do what I love and bring you more great fabrics every week and therefore cannot afford to charge "actual shipping" and be here next year and so on... I appreciate your consideration on this subject. It obviously agitates me. :)
Sincerely,
