Our Seeds and Information

We only supply quality seed, each of the varieties are from reputable suppliers and are always fresh from the latest harvest and fully comply with UK / EU regulations for quality and process. They are packed and stored correctly to ensure the best germination possible.
Our organic seeds come with Soil Association Certification which provides organic certification of the highest integrity to all sectors of the organic market, so you can be assured of its authenticity.

Sowing Information:
Our listings contain information to help customers make an informed choice, prior to purchasing. They give a guide to the degree of difficulty, temperature / time of year seeds should be planted and suitability to a planting situation.

We do have a growing number of more unusual varieties, which depend on many important related grower skills and local conditions; we can give guidelines but these should be investigated further before sowing.

We feel that this saves time for everyone - not having to look up the same information, it helps a customer make an informed choice without nasty surprises on receipt of parcels!

Seed Packets:
The seeds are packaged in resealable ziplock bags with a photograph and details of the seed. Seed packets are then attached to an attractive colour A5 information sheet that is printed with a photograph, description and information about the plant, along with the germination and aftercare guidance. Where multiple seed packs are ordered only one sheet will be provided to keep postage costs down, as paper is heavy. Please let us know should you require multiple sheets, perhaps in the case where seeds are required as gifts, we will then be able to advise if postage costs cover the postage amount.

Sowing information is offered a guide and the way we personally would plant the seeds. While experienced gardeners each have their own tried and trusted methods and there are a number of different sowing techniques for the same seed from different sources, our aim is to provide as much information to aid successful growing.

We feel that this is an important feature: an essential tool for the new gardener, a helpful reference for the more experienced and the perfect accompaniment to seeds given as gifts.

The feedback we receive, and the large numbers of customers who return to us, let us know that the extra effort we put into them is always appreciated.

Conditions of Sale:
The descriptions relating to species, varieties and their characteristics and information given regarding their fitness for any purpose or their hardiness etc are given for general guidance. We believe the seeds are true to their name and free from disease and any other defect etc. However, in accordance with the custom of the seed trade, we can give no warranty, express or implied as to the productiveness or description of any seed we sell, and will not in anyway be responsible for the resultant crop.

That said; we do everything possible to get seeds to you in the best possible condition far exceeding legal requirements and will provide as much help as possible,

Sue
