Q: Why are you selling this item?

A: Simple. To make a living. I've bought and sold used items all my life starting at the young age of 4 when I purchased a large box of chalk at an auction my mother was attending. The auctioneer thought it was cute to sell me the box for 50 cents. I took it to the swap meet where I sold each piece for 25 cents grossing over $40 for the entire box. Well that was it I was hooked and have been selling ever since. .

Q: Is there something wrong with the item?

A: Please read the description carefully, we always try to list all known defects. Usually our items are perfectly good and in good condition.

Q: What if the item is not as described?

A: I make every effort to list items correctly but I am human and can make mistakes. Please call me before leaving feedback. Ill work with you to either return the item or offer a refund. Never leave less then a perfect feedback without contacting me. first..

Q:What if the item isn't as colorful as in the listing?

A: All computer monitors are different. they display color in slight variations. We use a high end camera and photo booth to take most of our photographs to ensure the clearest most accurate images. If your dissatisfied with the item contact me and Ill be glad to help you.

Q: I saw an item listed in one of your auctions that I want, but I didn't win the auction. Do you have any others like it?

A: Unless its a ScaleMotorcars© product then probably not. Most of the items offered are unique one time listings. But feel free to email and ask.

Q: Do you make 2nd chance offers?

A: Yes I do. If I have more then 1 item I may offer it to the 2nd highest bidder rather then deal will listing it. Or if the high bidder has defaulted on payment then I may offer it to the 2nd or 3rd highest bidder. I will always contact you separately if this case to ensure the legitimacy of the offer.

*Any rating below 4.8: Seller pays an additional 10% in fees to sell on ebay, and seller's listings are demoted in ebay's search - making them harder to find

*Any rating below 4.6: Seller pays an additional 5% in fees to sell on ebay and loses powerseller status. Listings are further demoted in ebay's search

*Any rating below 4.3: Penalty -Seller's listings are moved the the last pages of search results

*Any rating below 4.1: Penalty - Seller is no longer allowed to list on ebay

eBay tells you a "4" rating means the item was accurately described, that you were satisfied with the seller's communication, the item was shipped quickly, and the shipping charges were reasonable - which a normal person would say is a good thing. However, ebay treats a "4" as a request to terminate the sellers's ebay account, charge the seller more, and make it difficult for bidders to find that seller's items. If you feel that the service you received does not warrant a "5" rating, PLEASE CONTACT US so we can resolve any issues for you.

Since the inception of our store, we have been privileged to maintain a 99.8% or better positive feedback rating. This is primarily due to belief in strong customer service. There are times however, when things can happen that will raise a less then stellar opinion of our process, but we strongly request that before leaving negative feedback, contact us first!. We find most people who leave negative feedback are newer to Ebay, and they don't realize they should take into consideration all of Ebay's four aspects of a successful transaction.

Q:WAS THE ITEM AS WE DESCRIBED IT?

A: We make every effort to list our items to the best of our knowledge. However we cant possible know everything so if we made a mistake in the listing we'll made it right with you. You'll have the option to return it for a full refund. All we ask is that you read the description carefully and bid on items responsibly.

Q:WAS THERE PROPER COMMUNICATION?

A: Please only use eBays Contact seller link to reach us. Regular email has a way of getting filed into spam filters or just overlooked. The contact Seller link is the safest and quickest way to reach up. I usually reply within the same day. Please be patient for a reply I cant possibly be online all the time and I will answer your question ASAP. We are closed on the weekends and especially on Sunday and will happily help you the fallowing workday.

Q:WAS SHIPPING TIMELY ACCORDING TO OUR GUIDELINES?

A: 95% of all packages ship out within 2 business days and sometimes the same day if time permits. Hard to pack items can take 3 to 5 days and I will notify you if there are any delays in shipping. Please review our shipping questions and estimated times below for more information.

Q:WERE SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES REASONABLE?

A: While we do charge a nominal handling fee on most packages, it is only to try to cover supplies and labor expenses.  We do not make a living on shipping. Please keep in mind that the shipping quotes are automatic. If you were overcharged please contact be before leaving anything less then 5 stars. Most buyers do not take into consideration the full cost of shipping and starting October of 2009 all sellers will be required to add insurance to the total. Again we try our best to fill in the correct information so eBays system will quote the correct amounts.

All four of these things should be considered when leaving feedback for a seller, not just one that stands out the most, please leave feedback responsibly. If we have failed to deliver anything less then a 5 star rating please contact me and Ill work with you to make it right.

We encourage you to check our feedback to see what other buyers think of our products and services. You will find that we 99.8% or better of all our customers are very happy with the service they received. Our only poor feedback was from new members that didn't read the description or other to contact us before leaving feedback. I guarantee you that if they had a positive feedback would have been left in stead.

5 Stars only please. Anything less then 5 is not considered good feedback by eBay standard. A 1 or 2 star is actually negative to a sellers DSR rating and can seriously damage a sellers account. If you don't feel we earned a 5 star rating please contact me before leaving your feedback. Thank you.

Positive feedback is automatically posted when feedback is received. If you have an issue with a transaction, please contact us to resolve your issue before posting negative feedback or filing a claim.

Q: Will you discount shipping if I buy multiple items?

A: Absolutely unless otherwise stated in the listing.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes, we offer international bidders the same expert service. However, please note that should Customs & Excise deem that the product is subject to local import tax or duty, the courier would at delivery request payment for this before releasing the goods. This is NOT postage or handling but rather payment collected on behalf of Customs & Excise. ScaleMotorcars has no control over what the charges may be and cannot influence the amount chargeable. This charge is your liability and should be considered before making a purchase.All questions should be resolved before placing your bid.

Q: When will you ship my item?

A: We strive to ship all packages either the same or next business day. Hard to pack items may require special handling, those items may take 3 to 5 business days. You will be notified of any shipping delays.

Q: How will you ship my item and how long will it take to get?

A: Orders will be shipped via one of the following shipping couriers (unless the item is sent by standard or registered airmail):

  • Small items under 30 lbs usually ship USPS
  • Larger items over 30 lbs or unusually shipped items go out Fed Ex
  • Very large items 170 lbs or more ship Yellow Freight

We will select one of the above couriers at our discretion to ensure the most appropriate shipping service is provided. A parcel tracking number, customs number or delivery confirmation number will be provided for all above mentioned courier services.

The following is a guideline of typical delivery times:

  • US and Canada : 3-8 working days
  • Central London : 7-21 working days
  • Rest of the UK : 10-30 working days
  • Europe : 7-30 working days
  • Australia : 14-30 working days
  • Asia : 7-30 working days
  • Mexico : 6-21 working days

The above delivery times are estimations and will take into consideration the maximum time needed for parcels to go through customs. Therefore, in most cases the shipping time will in fact be shorter. You may find that purchasing from us will even be quicker than if bought locally!

Q: What do I do if my item takes longer then the estimated delivery time?

A: Contact us right away if your delivery is taking longer then estimated. If your purchasing outside the United States usually the delays are caused by your countries customs office. Some countries require import taxes be paid and your parcel will be delayed until those taxes are paid If your an international bidder please contact your local post office or customs office and inquire about your parcel. If you have not received your item within 30 days contact me and I will do everything I can to either replace the item or help you receive compensation from the carrier. Most all US mail carriers require at least a 30 day delivery window before a claim can be processed. This is why we ask that you wait the full 30 days.

Q: How do I checkout for my order?

A: We ask that you please use eBay checkout service and pay using Paypal at checkout.
Do we require you to do so? No. However, we specialize in extraordinary customer service and what enables us to do this, with a growing average of over 100 shipments per month, is the order management system we built through Paypal. Please help us to serve you best by using Paypal checkout

Q: What payment types do you accept?

A: Paypal is the preferred method of payment but we also accept USPS and international money orders as well as personal checks. Please note that personal checks and international money orders are held until cleared. Usually 7 to 10 bushiness days.

Q: What happens if the winning bidder doesn't pay?

A: We will offer the item to the second-highest bidder at that bidders exact bid. Non paying bidders are promptly reported to ebay after 7 days to reclaim eBay fee's.

Q: What if I change my mind and don't want to pay for the item can I cancel the transaction?

A: Yes but its highly discouraged. Please bid/buy responsibly and read the description carefully. We will cancel a transaction if requested but keep in mind that if delays our product turn around.
