Postage & Payment
All transactions to be completed within 72 hours of Auction End. We accept PayPal, Postal Orders and Cash on Collection for UK orders, and PayPal only for International orders. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEQUES for eBay transactions. All items are sent via courier, with the exception of some smaller inland items to locations excluded by the courier, which are sent via 1st Class Recorded Delivery, or International Signed-For Airmail where courier delivery does not give good value for money under 2kg in weight. We WILL NOT send out items without insurance.

PAYMENT & RETURNS POLICY

All transactions must be completed within 72 hours of Auction End

 PAYMENT METHODS: UK BUYERS - PayPal, Postal Order, Cash on Collection INTERNATIONAL BUYERS – PayPal ONLY

PLEASE NOTE that we DO NOT accept Bank Transfers or cheques, nor can we provide Cash on Delivery services via any of the delivery services offered.

We are compelled to accept eCheques generated by PayPal, but please be aware that even though the payment may show as leaving your account within 3 days, they take 9 -15 days to show as cleared payment on our account, which will inevitably delay receipt of your purchase.

If you wish to use Cash on Collection option, this must be agreed BEFORE Auction End.

If you are purchasing multiple items, please click the Request Total button before paying – we try to give postal discounts where possible.

 

NON-PAYMENT, CHARGEBACKS & DAMAGE CLAIMS

NON-PAYING BIDDERS will be reported to eBay, and Unpaid Item Disputes will be raised on the fifth day after purchase. Strikes will be issued WITHOUT EXCEPTION, which may cause suspension of your account.

BUYERS WHO ATTEMPT CARD CHARGEBACKS without contact after items have been delivered will be reported to eBay and PayPal – this may cause suspension of your accounts and recovery action by PayPal.

BUYERS WHO CLAIM THAT ITEMS HAVE BEEN DAMAGED MUST return the item to us within the terms of our RETURN POLICY (see below) before any claim can be made to the courier involved (please note that this is a PayPal policy also as set out in their User Agreement) Any buyer who refuses to return the item as per our Returns Policy will be assumed to be attempting a fraudulent claim, which will be reported to eBay for investigation.

Any attempts to blackmail us with feedback will be IMMEDIATELY reported to eBay.

 

Returns Policy

Operational AS OF 26th JUNE, 2009

 

DISTANCE SELLING LEGISLATION

 

We are a Business seller, and operate within the stipulations of the Distance Selling Regulations in the UK. By law, this legislation applies to all UK and EU transactions.

We have chosen to extend our application of the legislation to all non-EU international sales also, as an additional service to our customers.

Please be aware that Distance Selling Regulations apply only to new items bought on Buy It Now listings, and allow for a cooling-off period of 7 working days from the date that you receive your item. As all our items are sent using trackable, signed-for services, we are able to verify date of arrival.

Please be aware that the maximum time allowed for delivery is 28 days: we are not able to accept Requests for Return after this 28-day period plus the 7 working day cooling-off period has elapsed. In all cases we will check the delivery date to ensure compliance with the regulations.

IMPORTANT: We cannot accept Return Requests or Cancellation Notices via eBay mail or the eBay Returns Flow as by law there is a requirement that the consumer who intends to cancel a contract must notify the supplier by letter, fax or e-mail. There is no provision for notification by phone, website or text message. As eBay is a website, its use as a medium for notification is clearly precluded by the legislation.

 

 

RETURNING YOUR ITEM

 

1) NEW ITEMS / BUY IT NOW LISTINGS

 

We accept returns on

a)    Items damaged in transit

This is a rare occurrence, but does happen from time to time. Please e-mail us as soon as you discover the damage: please be aware that we require that you contact us in writing (e-mail / letter) within 7 working days of receipt of your item.

We will require that you return the item to us at your own cost, using a fully-insured and trackable shipping method. We must receive the returned item within 14 calendar days of the date of your Request for Return.

On safe return of the item, it will be examined to verify the damage. We will then refund your item cost, your original postage cost and your return postage cost, and will claim for the damaged item and costs from the original delivery service.

Please note that we cannot refund without the item being returned to us – we are required to provide proof of damage (including potential examination of the item) by all of the delivery services we use.

 

b)    Items significantly not as described

Please contact us via e-mail in the first instance, as these issues are extremely rare, and we will make every reasonable attempt to clarify and resolve any issues.

Please be aware that we require that you contact us in writing (e-mail / letter) within 7 working days of receipt of your item.

If a return is agreed in discussion between us, we will require that you return the item to us at your own cost, using a fully-insured and trackable shipping method. We must receive your returned item within 14 calendar days of the date of your Request for Return.

On safe return of the item, it will be examined to verify the claim if necessary. We will then refund your item cost, your original postage cost and your return postage cost.

Please note that we cannot refund without the item being returned to us.

 

c)     Items by reason of Change of Mind

In this case, for us to accept the return and subsequently refund under the provisions of the Distance Selling Regulations, buyers need to be aware of certain stipulations of those regulations:

i)                    The buyer has a duty of care for the item, so, if it is returned to us not in the condition in which it left us, thus causing it to be unsuitable for re-sale at full, original sale value, we will institute Court proceedings to recover the purchase price and all costs involved.

ii)                  If the item has been damaged by the buyer, or during the course of the Return process, we will contact the buyer to discuss this. If the damage has been caused in transit, we will require the buyer to claim from the delivery service responsible – we cannot do this for the buyer, as return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If the buyer has caused the damage to the item, thus causing it to be unsuitable for re-sale at full, original sale value, we will institute Court proceedings to recover the purchase price and all costs involved.

iii)                 In all cases, we require the buyer to return the item to us at their own cost, using a fully-insured and trackable delivery service. The service used is at the discretion of the buyer, but safe return forms part of the Duty of Care of the item which is incumbent upon the buyer. This cost is non-refundable. This forms part of our Terms & Conditions of Sale. If the item is not returned as per this clause, we have the right to arrange collection, the costs of which will be charged to the buyer. Non-payment of this charge will result in recovery action via the Court.

iv)                If the item, when originally sent, was sealed in the manufacturers packaging, we can only accept returns in this category if the item is returned with the manufacturers packaging intact, still sealed and unopened. If this condition of sale is not met, thus causing it to be unsuitable for re-sale at full, original sale value, we will institute Court proceedings to recover the purchase price and all costs involved.

 

THE PROCESS for returning under Distance Selling Regulations

i)                    Contact us in writing via e-mail or letter within 7 working days

of receipt, informing us of your wish to return your purchase.

ii)                  From the date of acknowledgement of your Return Request, you have 14 calendar days in which to return the item to us via a trackable and fully-insured delivery service of your choice. The cost of return shipping is at all times the responsibility of the buyer, and in this case, is non-refundable.

iii)                 On safe return of the item in compliance with the above stipulations, we will e-mail you to confirm receipt, and will then process a refund for the item cost and the original postage within 3 working days. Please be aware that under the legislation we are allowed 30 days in which to refund – we feel that this is somewhat excessive, so our choice is to refund as above.

 

 

2) AUCTION ITEMS / BUY IT NOW on AUCTION LISTINGS / USED ITEMS

 

Please be aware that Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to these items, so returns are accepted only as shown below.

3) AUCTION ITEMS DESCRIBED AS BLEMISHED, DAMAGED or LUTHIER / PROJECT

 

Please be aware that Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to these items, so returns are accepted only as shown below.

 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on these items, as they are already damaged and are listed as such. As a result of this, we also cannot claim for transit damage on any of these items.

However, if there is an issue with one of these items that was not mentioned in the listing, or is significantly worse than was described in the listing, please contact us, and we will do our utmost to resolve the issue.

We will always attempt to resolve issues in a mutually-acceptable manner.
