Viewing & inspection welcome & recommended when making an expensive purchase. If you wish to test ride a vehicle that is for sale then you must provide proof of fully comprehensive insurance to cover the vehicle on test & leave on deposit with SKM the full cash purchase price.  We operate a policy of, " if you bend it you buy it" so please ensure that you are fully competent & capable of riding the vehicle safely.

We understand that you may be viewing the vehicle for the first time after you have purchased it & we undertake to amicably cancel the sale if you can demonstrate that the item is significantly not as described in the advert.

Official Vehicle Inspections

AA or RAC inspections are welcome prior to auction end only. These must be carried out at our premises.

Bidding

eBay has it's scams and we've learned trough experience about most of them.  So in order to to make your buying experience with us as hassle free as possible we have set out the following terms for bidders. If you have a feedback score of less than 25 then please contact us prior to bidding & provide a phone number to enable us to confirm that you have a genuine interest in the item on sale. If you fail to do this we may remove your bid to save hassle for other genuine bidders.

Items are not removed from ebay prior to the sale end unless an unforeseen error occurs or it is clear that an attempted scam has in some way affected the auction during its progress. However as with all auctions we do reserve the right to withdraw any item from sale.

During the offer & negotiation stage of any sale the item will remain available for sale until it is either paid for in full or a deposit has been received.

Providing that the item is correctly described in the advert we will not negotiate following the sale so please be aware that your winning bid is the price you will pay for the item. Should a buyer insist on receiving a discount then we reserve the right to withdraw from completion of the sale.

International Bidders

We are happy to deal with international bidders. Please note that winning bidders must adhere to our terms and cleared funds in Sterling are required into our bank before collection. We will only release our vehicle to yourself or a known delivery company. If you arrive with foreign currency we can point you in the direction of a local bank where you can change your cash to sterling.

Payment Terms

10% non returnable deposit is required to secure any vehicle or other non postal items within 24hrs of agreed sale unless by mutual agreement. If the deposit is not received within the stated time limit or delayed by mutual agreement then the sale will be canceled & the item offered to another interested party.

For parts & accessories full payment is required within 7 days of sale or the purchase will be canceled & the item offered to another interested party.

Following payment of any deposit (please remember that if we have not been accurate with our description then you are entitled to a full refund), the full balance must be paid and the vehicle collected within 7 days of the agreed sale. Failure to pay and collect the vehicle within this period, unless by mutual agreement, will result in a loss of the deposit and the vehicle being re-offered to the next highest bidder or re-advertised. If you require storage beyond 7 days then this can be arranged and we reserve the right to charge the rate of £10 per day. If this option is required, it must be agreed in advance and is at our discretion.

Any agreement made in relation to delayed deposit, staged payment or collection will expire after a maximum of 28 days form the date of the most recent written agreement.

Where a sale is cancelled either by mutual agreement or due to non adherence to any agreement by the buyer then we reserve the right to make a reasonable charge to recover our costs including but not limited to storage, lost sales opportunities, readvertising & depreciation.

Payment of the balance can be made by cleared funds only. This can be by cash on collection, BACS or CHAPS cheque or Paypal.

Please only pay the balance of your purchase using Paypal if you agree to pay the Paypal fees!!!!!!

Please be aware that we will not release a vehicle or any other item prior to receiving cleared funds.

Vehicle Collection

Arranged by appointment within 7 days of sale. Failure to collect a vehicle within this period will result in a loss of the deposit and the vehicle being re-offered to the next highest bidder or re-advertised. If you require storage beyond 7 days then this can be arranged and we reserve the right to charge the rate of £10 per day. If this option is required, it must be agreed in advance and at our discretion.

Delivery

Covered or open trailer.

We can deliver locally, within 10 miles, for £40. Up to 30 miles for £60. For greater distances there will be a charge of £1 per mile. We can be flexible dependent upon workload & our movements on the day.

Please consider that we have to travel both ways & pay the driver who will be taking time out from his normal duties.

Postal deliveries: Where an item is shipped using a courier or the postal system, we will normally post same day but in any event will book shipping within 48 hours of sale. If a purchased item is not received within our stated delivery time then please let us know. Please note that any non delivery notification must be made within 28 days after which time we assume thet the item has been delivered successfully & dispose of any proof of postage on file. In any event any refunds will only be considered following 28 days from the date of payment to allow for investigation & packets to be returned to sender.

Warranty information

All vehicles & other parts & accessories advertised for sale are inspected & tested to ensure as far as is reasonably possible that they are in roadworthy condition, but whilst every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure that all parts of the vehicle are in a suitable condition to adequately perform their function safely & adequately at the time of sale, the seller bears no responsibility for the failure of any components from ongoing wear & tear or as a result of neglect or abuse following sale.

In the event that an item is purchased in error or considered to be defective then the buyer must inform us within 7 days of receipt to request a return & refund. Unless otherwise stated vehicles offered for sale have not been serviced or maintained by us.

No warranty or guarantee is given or implied with any sale & all items are sold as seen & where applicable tested & approved by the buyer, so please ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase before you leave, as claims for missing or damaged parts can not be considered once the vehicle has been removed from our keeping.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any warranty or guarantee provided by the manufacturer or any 3rd party, is valid & in force & to deal directly with the manufacturer in the event of any complaint or dispute.
