River & Riptide Anglers was established July 2007 as a full service fly shop serving anglers throughout southern New England. With Rhode Island's 400+ miles of fishable coast line, intimate streams, lakes, & ponds; local / nearby, and traveling anglers now have a specialty fly shop to make their adventure on the water a memorable one. Whether looking for that special fly rod, the right fly pattern or expert guide service River & Riptide Anglers can supply your need. We also offer casting clinics and fly tying lessons, our guides are readily available to help you catch that trout or tuna of a lifetime.
Although we carry many of the best brands available we are not just a high end fly shop. We offer products for all skill levels that fit within your budget and specific need. We fish with all of the products we offer and new enthusiast to fly fishing need not be intimidated. Here at River & Riptide Anglers we pride ourselves in passing on accurate and thorough information to increase your success on the water.
As an avid angler, USCG licensed captain, and my love for fly fishing it has been a long time dream to open River & Riptide Anglers. We also offer a range of guide services for various species of fresh and saltwater game fish. Within a day's drive you can catch brook trout to blue-fin tuna depending on the season. We provide all the gear needed with the exception of waders & wading boots. Fish our local Wood River, a short drive to the Farmington River in western Connecticut, the range of Rhode Island's coastal waters or Cape Cod Bay for palegic fish.
