1) AVAILABILITY
Shipping to the USA is available when you SEE THE FOLLOWING LOGO on our listings.
2) PRODUCT PRICING - UK VAT
A sale from Rich Tone Music to a customer in the USA (or any other country outside the EU) is exempt from VAT.
Until December 2009, the UK VAT rate is 15% (normally 17.5%) and therefore the advertised sales price should be divided by 15% to remove VAT from the sales price.
For example, a guitar which is advertised at £999 (Vat Inclusive) would be divided by 1.15 (15%) to give a price of £868.70.
A customer based in the USA would only need to pay us £868.70 plus the shipping charge.

3) SHIPPING CHARGE
Shipping charges start from £55 GBP and range through to £95 depending on the product. We subsidise shipping charges where possible to be competitive.
ALL ITEMS are INSURED FULLY for transit to the USA or any country we send to.
NOTE ON RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES - If you wish for Rich Tone Music to send UPS to collect an item which is not to taste or unwanted, we may have to charge a much larger figure than you initially paid. This is to recover the full/true cost of shipping and insurance for the item. Please ask us to confirm what this might be if required.
4) IMPORT DUTY
Although exempt from UK VAT, the purchase of one of our items will be subject to import duty. This is normally payable to the UPS delivery man by Check when he delivers the item to you. The duty rate varies from state to state so it is advised that you check this out ahead of purchase. |
