| Frequently Asked Questions |
Here are a selection of the questions we get asked the most. If you can't find the information you need, contact us via info@redhousemusic.co.uk, and we'll get back to you ASAP. Click on a question to skip to the answer.
1) What's Red House Music? 2) Where's the stuff I've bought? 3) When will you leave me feedback? 4) Can I combine postage costs for more than one item? 5) Can I come and buy from your shop to save postage?
1) What's Red House Music?
We are an independent retailer based in North Leeds. We have a loads of experience in the musical instruments industry and are what we like to call 'a real shop'. We are all gigging and recording musicians too, covering guitar, bass, keys, drumkit, flute, saxophone and clarinet amongst the instruments we play .... so we know good equipment and where to get it from!
2) Where's my stuff?
Large items (cases, guitars and some stands) come out via Initial Citylink next working day courier service. Smaller items come first class Royal Mail, some of which are recorded and need signing for. If you've been sent an email confirming despatch, your stuff is on its way, and will usually be with you the next working day. If you haven't been sent that email yet, your goods will be sent to you very soon. In the rare event of an unforseen hitch, we'll be in touch to let you know. Email us for further info. If you've been left a card notifying you of a failed delivery, please make arrangements with the deliverers to receive it successfully ... if things end up back on our doorstep it's annoying for everyone and delays you from getting your hands on whatever you've ordered! NOTE - Please bear in mind that we are closed on Wednesdays!
3) When will you leave me feedback?
As a rule we leave feedback once we've been given feedback from buyers. This happens automatically as soon as we receive it. We do it this way round to encourage people to take a minute to let us and other Ebayers know that they're happy with our service. We work really hard to provide great products at a level of service that's second to none, so hearing from happy customers is extremely important to uss!! Plus, of course, it's great for our egos ... :-)
4) Can I combine postage costs for more than one item?
We always combine postage costs wherever possible to make multiple purchases even better value. Most commonly this will be something like an additional £1.90 for an equivalent or smaller item. If you are unsure what the final total should be, or are confused by the Paypal process, you are very welcome to call us on 0113 2611414 and we'll sort it out over the phone.
5) Can I come and pick something up from your shop to save postage?
Not really. As a retailer we try to promote a level playing field between Ebay and our shop, so a lot of our prices are 'online only' offers because we don't have to spend staff time demonstrating products, chatting about the weather and generally slacking off! However, all our products are available in our shop and, without the P+P costs, some cases (for example) are actually cheaper at our shop price anyway ... and you do get the benefit of coming in and watching Paul and Nik argue about whose turn it is to make the coffee (it's usually Nik's) and whose musical taste is better (usually Paul's). Once again, if you want to find out how much something is in the shop, call or email us. If you're lucky, you'll speak to Catherine who has no strong opinions on coffee or music.
