Ebay selling tips:
When selling on Ebay, you first need to make sure you know why you are selling. If you are selling just to get rid of items, ask yourself if its really worth the bother. If the items you are selling do not sell well, it may be that the legwork and man hours used in dispatching the item is not worth the hassle. In my opinion an item has to sell well to be worth selling on Ebay.
Have a look and see what's selling, see what has bids - just because an item has a start price of £100 doesn't mean its going to sell at all. By working out what sells and what doesn't, you can get a bit of an idea as to whether it would be worth selling your item. If its likely that you're item will sell at a low price, do you really want to get rid of it at that price?
OK, compile your listing:
- Postage - Make sure you put enough postage on your Ebay item to cover not only the cost of postage, but packaging and petrol to the PO. Another thing to note about postage is that, especially for low value items, people are often put off by high postage costs. This is not the same for high value items. For high value items it is actually possible to make the profit from postage costs!
- Make sure the item will sell, do your homework first, if it doesn't sell you still have to pay the listing price.
Title - Make sure the title is descriptive, make sure the keywords are in order and exist in the title
...The above is part of "The Ultimate Ebay A4". I created the ultimate Ebay A4 to show the steps you should take in listing a item on Ebay. The PDF sheet tells you how to write your title, what to put in the description and even how to sort out the gallery image to make your listing stand out above everyone else's. I recommend this to anyone who needs to list an item valued over £30 on Ebay. Items like desktop PC's, Laptops and PDA's will sell for a much higher price that if you hadn't follow my A4 guide.
That's it, i've told you enough - Now go Ebay! |
