 Q: What is the Bulgarian currency?
  A: The Bulgarian currency is the Leva which is tied to the Euro as part of the Euro introduction process. Our auctions on UK Ebay are in pounds.
 Q: Can I make an offer to end the auction Early?
  A: Yes, but certain stict criteria must be met to make a qualified offer and keep within Ebay rules. We allow offers in the first 48 hours of the auction only, contact us for full details.
 Q: Is the property freehold?
  A: Yes, all property auctioned by Bulgariadirect is freehold.
 Q: Is Bulgaria in the EU?
  A: Yes, since January 2007!
 Q: Is the end auction price, the total I pay?
  A: Yes, for the property / land. Legal costs are also applicable and clearly shown in the auctions. Check auctions for special offers on bulk purchases and buy in the same locations to save on legal costs.
 Q: Can I view the property before bidding?
  A: Of course, the auction runs for 7 to 10 days so there is plety of time. Book your flights and email us or call if you're already in Bulgaria. We operate 24/7 so can arrange viewings on short notice. After the auction ends viewing is only for the paying winning bidder in accordance with auction terms.
 Q: How soon do I have to come to Bulgaria after the end of auction?
  A: Anytime convenient for you within eleven months. Longer can be arranged on occasion when required.
 Q: Do Bulgarian people speak English?
  A: Most people in Bulgaria under 30 have at least a basic knowledge of English so you can get by quite easily. There are plenty of Ex Pat Brits in some areas of Bulgaria and English language TV is available as standard.
 Q: Can I make use of my created company to do business in Bulgaria?
  A: Of course, in fact you can use your company anywhere and have a lot of benefits including the lowest corporate taxes in the EU. Your company can be dormant if you wish, formed only as a tool to own EU farmland. A company will also serve you well if you plan to renovate property for resale.
 Q: How many airports does Bulgaria have?
  A: Bulgaria has 5 international airports. Sofia, Gorna (Near Veliko Turnovo), Bourgas, Varna and Plovdiv. Sofia is the busiest airpot and currently has the highest availability. You can also fly into Bucharest or Craiova in Romania, Kavala in Greece etc. We are pleased to help winning bidders in finding the lowest fares.
 Q: Can you pick me up from the airport?
  A: Yes, whenever or wherever you land you can be sure we will be there to await you from your flight. Choose any airport in Bulgaria or neighbouring countries, book your flights and email us the details. See you there!
 Q: Do I have to form a Bulgarian company if I want to own a property in Bulgaria?
  A: For all farmland, forests etc yes. Also for subsidy application a company is always required. We are proud to offer a fast, fully inclusive and fully legal formation service. For apartments and houses all EU citizens do not need to form a company in most cases. Non-EU citizens must form a company for all purchases.
 Q: Why are house prices so low in Bulgaria?
  A: Everything in Bulgaria is still very cheap for now, although after EU accession (and for a couple of years before) property prices have risen steadily. Remember that the low prices you see now are often three times higher than they were only two years ago, the trend is set to continue, hence why Bulgaria is so popular with property investors.
 Q: How do you know what you are selling?
  A: Bulgariadirect has nationwide offices, managed by a team of both Brits and Bulgarians. Every property (and all relevant documentation) we auction has been personally inspected by our company. We never sell on behalf of agencies or rely on information from third parties.
 Q: What happens after the auction?
  A: You can pay by direct International Bank transfer for the property. Once received you can arrange your flights whenever is convenient for you within 11 months. Airport transfers and accomodation are available to the winning bidder.
 Q: What should I do if I need more information or would like to ask a question.
  A: Click on Ask seller a question on our listings, email enquiries@velikoproperty.com or call the relevant number on the auction page.
 Q: Is the furniture included in the auction?
  A: We are auctioning the property and land. You should assume there is no furniture included, if there is something of particular interest then please ask and we will let you know if it may be kept for you.
 Q: Should I win an auction to come and view your properties?
  A: You may come and view at any time and we will be happy to arrange a viewing trip for you. If you bid on an auction you are commiting to the terms in the auction and agreeing to go ahead with the property auction you have won. There is no need to win an auction just to come and view!
