Goods paid for by cheque will be dispatched 5 working days after receiving payment.
If you had a chart on your item for different shipping costs depending on your location you will be charged the minimum order cost and we will contact you regarding the extra postage needed if you are out of zone 1.
UK Shipping
Shipping costs are worked out based on a combination of size, weight and packaging costs.
Please allow five business days for delivery.
Special note regarding the Channel Islands: Orders to the Channel islands can only be sent by recorded or registered post, UK VAT regulations require that we have evidence of despatch to the Channel Islands. As such there may be an additional charge to cover the additional postage service costs. VAT will be manually refunded to Channel Islands customers.
Shipping Methods
We use Royal Mail first class delivery for standard parcels and a Parcel Force service for larger/heavy goods.
If your item has a Parcel Force Zone Chart on the listing, we will deliver using the time scale stated on the chart. If you require your item by 12pm or on a Saturday please call or email when you have placed your order.
We will use your email address given to notify you of the tracking number of your parcel. We will not leave your item unsigned however if you are not home when the courier delivers, you will be able to collect your item from your local post office or arrange a redelivery (*can be a local address e.g. friend, family or work) with Parcel Force on a weekday.
* If you request your item to be delivered out of your local depot area you will incur an additional charge.
International Shipping
If you make an order and you live outside the UK we will email you regarding the extra postage you need to pay. If you want a quote before ordering please contact us (contact information can be found on the home page).
International shipping by Royal Mail airmail is currently available to European destinations. Payment can only be made in UK £ (pounds sterling).
International orders will only be sent to the cardholder's billing address. Shipping to an address other than the card holder's registered address is not permitted.
International orders of a high value are always subject to approval and may require special shipping arrangements/terms. Payment by banker's draft in UK £ may be required.
(Countries to which we do not ship include Indonesia, Nigeria, Russia, USA, Canada).
Preston Bissett Nursery Returns Policy
Every possible care is taken to ensure that goods are in perfect condition when despatched. We ask if an item has arrived damaged you notify us within 10 working days. We will exchange the goods as soon as we can.
If you receive your goods and you do not like them we ask that you pay for the goods to be posted back to us. We can exchange for another item (if of a greater value we will ask you to pay the difference) or refund the cost of the goods (but not the return or delivery postage costs, just the item amount). We ask that any returns are made to us within 28 days of receipt to receive a full refund.
