We are often asked, 'how can you guarantee a perfect colour match without seeing my car ?'
The truth is, we cant. Without having the car it is impossible. What is more realistic, is that we know what colour your car is when you give us the paint code. Most popular colours have a 'most common' variation, which we know from experience will be the variation which matches standard paintwork best. If we think that a colour is unlikely to match we will advise accordingly.
As with most things, you get what you pay for. If you brought your car to our workshop for a new wing, for example, we can paint and fit a wing, and blend into the door and/or bonnet if required. Typical cost for this is £400 - £500 and also means being without a car for three or four days. Big saving to made there then, by doing it yourself.
At the end of the day, some colours are better to match than others - Ford citrus gold, as an example, is difficult to match, even on a car, and often requires blending across two or three panels.
This shouldnt be seen as some kind of 'disclaimer', it isn't, its just a little bit of honesty from people who know what they are talking about. We like to think, that the parts we paint will be the 'best bit' on your car!!
