If you want to create a modern, contemporary look in your bathroom there are a number of different products that you will come across.

This Guide is aimed at trying to show the differences between different basin products so that it is easier to identify which products are required in different circumstances and to create different looks.

Basin Wastes

You can create a really co-ordinated look by using a matching bath and basin waste

Basin plug and chain waste

The traditional waste for any basin with chrome plated brass plug and ball chain. Includes plastic overflow tube.

Independent Basin Pop up Waste

Chrome basin pop up waste operated by separate control between the taps. Use to match the bath pop up waste for more professional results.

Basin Flip Top Waste

Operates simply by pressing chrome plug which rotates to open or closed and no separate control is needed.

Comes in a Slotted version for basins with overflow, and Unslotted for basins without overflow.

Basin Freeflow Waste

In this style the waste is covered by a domed chrome 72mm plug which is fixed so it cannot be closed and is designed so that basin cannot ever overflow e.g. in communal rest rooms

Basin Clicker Waste

Comes in slotted and unslotted versions for basins with and without overflow.

In keeping with the modern minimalist style, the chrome waste has a up/down clicker action which you push to click open or closed. Our version is covered by a domed 64mm plug in high qaulity chrome. Designed for the modern bathroom this is the finishing touch that is needed if you have a wall hung basin or one that sits on a shelf or slab i.e. where the basin is not covered by a pedestal.

This is also designed to be used with a modern bottle trap (see below for details) to give a complete finish. Look out for clicker wastes that come with Collar to hide the threads of the waste which will otherwise be visible and so gives a much better look

Co-ordinate with a clicker waste in the bath for more professional results.

Basin Clicker Waste with Backnut

Clicker waste as above but designed to be fitted in basins on a pedestal. The waste is fastened in place by the backnut but this is hidden from view by the pedestal. Comes in a Slotted version for basins with overflow, and Unslotted for basins without overflow.

Basin Bottle Traps

If the basin is on view, such as on a counter top or wall hung, then it should ideally be finished off with a bottle trap which has chrome plated pipe work so that the threads etc are hidden from view. This creates a sleek, modern, minimalist look.

Modern Bottle trap

Designed to create a slim, modern style look under a basin which is wall hung or that sits on a shelf or slab and finishes off the look created by the clicker waste as under the basin as all you see are the smooth sides of the waste and the slim modern bottle trap. The bottle trap can be extended to up to 80mm to allow the bottle trap to match the position of the waste outlet in the wall and it comes with a chrome wall pipe and flange

Look out for extra versatile 400mm chrome plated wall tube and flange which can be cut to the required size

Square Bottle Trap

Designed to suit fashionable minimalist, square basin designs. Look out for 300mm wall tube and flange

Wall outlet and filter connector pair

This product in chrome plated brass is designed to promote a minimalist look by replacing the copper hot and cold supply pipe with a neat functional modern alternative. Also have the benefit of having a built in filter to protect any tap from being used from damage due to foreign particles in the water
