SHADE GUIDE TABLE

Choose your skin shade in the left hand column of the shade guide, then look at the foundation shade suggestions for your skintone and the images (please bear in mind colours can vary on different monitors. Mineral foundation shades are fairly forgiving and you will find you may be able to wear two or more different shades. For example I have a light medium shade skin and can wear medium beige, golden beige and warm sand.  Those who have pink or slight yellow undertones can wear neutral toned foundations successfully.

Skin tones can be neutral (have no noticeable, pink, yellow, olive undertones) or can have pink, yellow or olive undertones.  Most Caucasians have pink, neutral or slight yellow tones, some have lovely golden olive undertones.

Generally if you have yellow undertones you are a ‘warm’ shade and you will notice your veins look greenish on the inside of your wrist.  If you have slight pink undertones to your skin you are a ‘cool’ shade and your veins will look bluish on the inside of your wrist.

If you are of Mediterranean, Asian or mixed race descent you are likely to have golden olive undertones or yellow olive undertones.  If you have strong yellow tones you would be better trying the yellow olive shades which have no pink undertones at all.  (If you try a shade and find it looks greyish on your skin generally it is because there are too many pink undertones in the shade for your shade of skin.) The yellow olive shade is likely to suit oriental, and some asian and mediterranean skintones who usually have strong yellow undertones to their skin. Our new shade sunny saffron is a blend of our warm and yellow olive shades and suits many of mediterranean or asian ancestry who have light medium skin.

If unsure of your shade please try our samples packs, these include 5 samples.  If you wish to try just a couple of shades send me a message and I can set up a listing for £1.49 (inc. p&p)
