VINTAGE (1920-70) & ANTIQUE (100yrs+) PAPER GRRRRADING

• Excellent - from no visible wear to very little wear. No bends or creases. Postcards may have writing on address side, but image is clean & fresh.
• Very Good - moderate wear, i.e. slightly bumped corners, very light creases. No soiling or tears. No writing on front of postcards, with exception of UDB cards. May have small amount of album residue on back of trade cards.
• Good - creases and general edge wear, with noticeable bends or creases. May have a small amount of soiling or foxing that doesn't detract from the image. May have a small tear, no longer than 3/8 inch.  Trade cards likely have album residue on back. Unless rare, sold in lots.
• Fair - significant soil, stains, creases, writing, or a postmark that affects image. Corner tips may be missing but no significant broken corners. May have considerable amount of album residue on back. Unless very rare sold in lots for art & crafts.
• Poor - considerable wear; part of image may be missing. A filler card only. Sold in lots for art, etc.

HANDLING & PACKING PRRRROCESS

Please be advised that I do not ship Victorian trade cards or most of my other small antique paper items in plastic postcard sleeves. Victorian paper items are too fragile and may be damaged while being inserted or removed from these sleeves. Smaller paper items are enfolded in tissue and backed with cardboard before being wrapped in cling plastic, then folded within a full page invoice and sealed into a double envelope.

Small paper items are sent lettermail which does not include insurance. 

Most larger paper items are packed as above but backed with corrugated plastic rather than cardboard, and shipped in manila envelopes taped at all edges to prevent tearing.

I will be happy to accommodate any other form of packing. Corrugated plastic can be used for smaller paper items but will increase the shipping cost.
