Welcome to the nara furnishings terms and conditions. Please read them through carefully before using the store. They do not affect your statuory rights. Your continued use of this eBay store constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. After winning an item, payment must be made within 3-4 days.

2. Please contact us if payment can not be made within the required period. However, the item must be paid for within 7 days.

3. An unpaid item dispute will be opened with eBay if an item has not been paid for within 7 days.

4. Payment can be made via Paypal, postal order, cheque, bank transfer and debit or credit card.

5. Please contact us if you wish to pay via a method other than Paypal so we can provide you with payment instructions.

6. Please note that we may not be able to accept certain types of debit or credit cards. If you wish to use this payment method then contact us prior to purchasing the item.

7. We take debit and credit card payments either over the phone or via email. All card details are input into paypal’s secure merchant service with payment then being authorised. All payments are completely secure.

8. If you are paying via cheque or bank transfer then please allow 3-5 days for payment to clear.

9. The item will only be readied for despatch once payment has been made and cleared.

10. When you win an item you automatically enter into a legally binding contract. Therefore, payment and sale must be made. This is highly important to prevent us from incurring unnecessary eBay fees. Therefore, please do not buy if you do not have the intention of paying for the product.


11. After payment has been made, all customers must send us their home and mobile telephone number to arrange a delivery date and time. Failure to do this may result in a delay in receiving your item.

12. All items are with free delivery

13. Delivery can take upto 15 - 20 working days even though we aim for delivery within the first week of purchase. In exceptional circumstances delivery may take a bit longer than 20 days. We will inform you if this is the case.

14. All deliveries are booked in by telephone 2-3 days in advance so that you know when to expect your consignment. Orders will only be scheduled for delivery if a delivery contact telephone number has been supplied.

15. The delivery driver will also contact you one hour before delivery.

16. All deliveries carried out are via our standard one man service. Our friendly drivers may help you carry the furniture to the room of your choice. However, this is at the total discretion of the drivers as they are legally not insured to do so. On some products and for certain delivery areas we can offer a two man delivery team where the furniture shall be carried to the room of your choice. Please call us on 01772 499081 for more information. We advise customers to ensure you prepare for delivery. Go to the point of entrance into your home, where the delivery will begin and walk the path that the delivery driver will take to carry your new furniture to it’s destination. Take your tape measure with you to measure any unusual door or ceiling heights or other twists and turns that might cause a problem. Your order will usually be delivered via a large lorry, so please be sure your property is accessible for this size of vehicle and call us prior to delivery if not. Problems can occur with long gravel driveways with tight access so please inform us prior to dispatch if this is applicable. Please try to make the delivery as easy as possible for the delivery driver. It is helpful if you can be at your residence to accept the delivery, because no one knows your home better than you do. If you are unavailable to accept the delivery yourself, please note that there must be someone over the age of 16 at your property to take the delivery for you. Remove any tripping hazards, furniture, ornaments or wall fixtures that will constrict the path. Please note that our drivers are not allowed to remove their shoes due to health and safety reasons. It is your responsibility to protect your floors and carpets. We recommend using sturdy brown paper secured with masking tape or old sheets / blankets, however heavier items may require more substantial, purpose-made floor protection. Please judge what level of floor protection might be needed yourself and ensure that it is properly positioned before the delivery team arrives.

17. Whilst we make every effort to dispatch the products on time, we do not accept any liability for any failure to deliver on the stated date or at the stated time. If a delivery has failed and is not the fault of nara furnishings or the delivery company, the delivery would be fully chargeable..

18. Items can be collected from the warehouse free of charge or you can send your own designated courier to collect. Please inform us if you wish to take up this option so we can provide you with further details.


19. We offer a full money back guarantee if you decide that you do not want the item based on the following terms:

     -  item must be in its original condition and packaging and unassembled (if applicable)

     -  must be unused and complete

     -  customer must be liable for all delivery charges so a refund will not be given for the delivery charge incurred by us nor any costs that you may incur in sending the item back to us

    - Please notify us within 7 days of receiving the item if you wish to return the product 

Please note that all items are inspected prior to despatch and will also be inspected when returned.

20. Nearly all damage occurs during transit. If you are using our delivery service, all items are signed for as proof of delivery. Please ensure that prior to signing, you check that the packaging is intact. We are unable to accept claims for damages where the item has been signed for as ‘packaging intact’.

21. We are unable to accept the return of damaged items if the item was not delivered by us and you have used your own courier.

22. All damages should be reported to us within 24 hours. If it is possible to provide us with photographic evidence of the damage then please do so.

23. All return items must be in the original wrappings and unused and unassembled (if applicable). Therefore please be very careful when un-wrapping the items to keep the packaging intact. This is essential to avoid damages on return.

24. We will try our best to replace the damaged item. However, if this is not possible then we will offer a refund in line with our refund policy.

25. In the highly unlikely event that an item is defective, you must inform us via email within 30 days. Claims for defective items must be supported via evidence in the form of digital photographs which you should email to us.

26. Any bespoke pieces or any made to order items ordered from our hampton waxed and painted pine ranges or from our venice bathroom collection will be subject to a 20% restocking fee if you wish to return.

27. taking into account the varying individual conditions to which the furniture could be subject to once delivered, under no circumstances will we replace or refund items once 30 days has elapsed since delivery.

28. We attempt to meet all our customers needs. In cases where a dispute can not be resolved the final decision will be at management’s discretion.


Furniture design and characteristics

29. The majority of our items are handcrafted, and as a consequence, all sizes are offered as a guide only. It is virtually impossible to accurately portray the actual colour of natural wood product in a picture, due to differing screen resolutions, and natural variations from batch to batch. With regards to our wood furniture, we endeavour to give the best portrayal of colour, but we cannot accept colour or shade differences as evidence of defects. As a general rule, dark items look lighter in reality, and light items look darker in reality. A close match is more likely if two or more items are purchased at the same time because they will come from the same batch. If you wish to return an item because of a shade difference or any other reason, we are willing to offer a refund as long as our returns terms and conditions are met. However, original carriage charges and collection costs will be at the customer’s expense, and the returned item must be resellable as 'brand new' as per the terms stated above.


Privacy policy

30. Nara Furnishings recognises that your privacy is very important to you and that it is your right to control your information. We know that providing such information is an act of trust and we take that trust seriously. Nara Furnishings will never sell, rent or otherwise disclose any of your information.

31. Debit card and credit card payments can be taken over the phone. All information is entered onto Paypal’s virtual terminal system and the payment is authorised. Paypal is a reputable company and all details provided are secure. We do not in any circumstance store or record your payment information for our records.


General terms and conditions

32. We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:

-       Any of the terms are contravened

-       We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered

33. If you have a complaint or remark to make then please do not hesitate to contact us immediately. Any complaint will be dealt with fairly, effectively and confidentially.
