Postal discounts and policy.
Our aim with everything is to pack so well that we rule out (we hope) any mishaps in the post. Then we prefer to insure to cover buyers and ourselves against loss or damage in the post. We always get a certificate of posting (our route to the post office in Withington is well-worn!) so we are automatically covered for everything with a value of less than 100 times the cost of a first class stamp (currently £46).
Our eBay is set to automatically provide a discount on combined items according to eBay's rules and this generally works fine. This eBay rule should ensure that any 5 or more items (for destinations within the UK) attract free Packing/Postage/Shipping. This does not apply to overseas customers, where for quantities we can arrange a attractive figure.
USA and Australia Shipping
Please be aware that parcels up to 2 KGs in weight, with correct insurance will cost around £28 - they are handled by our Royal Mail. Above 2KGs we have to use the Global options of Parcelforce and the rates more than double, e.g. 2.45KGs would cost between £70 and £90 depending upon insurance value. We have to use maximum packing materials to avoid problems.
Final points:
All the "signed for" postal options get tracking numbers from the Royal Mail - please let us know if you would like this number so that you can track progress yourself.
We look forward to helping you complete your collections and providing a rich source of superb gifts for your friends and relatives.
Yours sincerely, Peter & Roz, the human assistants in Mr Squimps Shop, ably assisted by the young feline apprentices, Tabitha Twitchit and Mungojerrie who are well known on Facebook's Catbook
