Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you buy collections from sellers who haven't the time to list things individually?
A: If you wish to dispose of Beatrix Potter collections we can sometimes arrange an offer. We would require full details of each model, its condition and backstamp information. If drivable from Manchester we can arrange to collect too, which can save you all the trouble of packing delicate figures.
 Q: Condition reports
A: We attempt to describe the ceramics and prints as accurately as possible and provide extensive photographic evidence which should be examined carefully. This link shows our review to describe the condition reporting we use: http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Condition-Reports-pottery-model-trains_W0QQugidZ10000000017607482
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Designed for buyer's peace of mind - if anything is not as we have described, just return item within 7 days, (having emailed us first to tell us what you intend) for a full refund, including P & P, with no quibbles from us.
 Q: Do you combine shipping?
A: Yes we do - ebay is automatically set to make deductions on subsequent purchases for the same transaction and where the automatic settings cannot cope we have designed a special set of P & P offers which are described in one of our shop's custom pages.
Q: When can I expect my order to arrive?
A: The human assistants in Mr Squimps Shop, namely Peter and Roz, are always beavering away in the packing department (the cellar) and we aim to turn things around in 2 working days. The cycle route to the Royal Mail Post Office is well worn!
Q: How much is the Shipping and Handling Charge?
A: Each item listing should clearly indicate the Postage and Packing charges within Britain and to Europe plus the rest of the world.
 Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we have always offered items to anywhere in the world. The only exception being with occasional very heavy items needing local pickup.
Q: Do you use recycled packing materials?
A: Yes, we are inveterate recyclers and reusers, being quite keen on the preservation of the planet's resouces, so you'll see a combination of new boxes and padded bags along with scrumbled newspaper, outer linings of shrink wrapped stuff, polystyrene pieces etc, but we promise not to use our delightful compost from Louisa's Garden.
Q: Do you accept offers on individual items?
A: The items we wish to receive "Best Offers" for are clearly shown.
Q: Do you welcome wholesale enquiries from other dealers?
A: Yes, if by that you mean: "Is there a discount for buying a quantity?". Please email us with details of your interests.
Q: Please can you explain what the backstamps mean?
A: We’ve always found this website http://www.storybookfigurines.com/bpbackstamps.htm a useful source of backstamp information. It is rather confusing on first investigation, but well worth the effort. Since the close of the Beswick factory, the wonderful figures have taken a leap in intrinsic value and will continue to do so.
Q: Do you have a definite list of the Beatrix Potter BP2a gold oval figures?
A: Yes, please follow this link for a useful check list of all 38 figures within the BP2a backstamp range: http://nottinghamac.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2241641&l=ebd0d&id=199714716
