The Past

Microtek Services Ltd has an impressive 20 years of continued success as a front line electronic repair & refurbishment company. Originally formed (as ITL) back in 1991, it gained the status as sole dedicated Datachecker EPOS repairer for ICL with a repair contract involving 15,000 item repairs per year. During this early period we acted as 3rd & 4th Party equipment repairers for Companies such as:-

The Present

Repair Services

To date, we are still maintaining substantial commercial contracts with many of our long standing Customers. However, with the fast paced changing technologies of today, Microtek has evolved to meet these new challenges by extending its Customer and product base. Although our engineers still work at discrete component level, the Company has embraced and invested (for example) in modern mechanised flow soldering equipment, required for the Chip Technology of the day. With our workshops fully ISO9001:2000 accredited (the world-recognised standard for high-quality, customer-focused service), any repair or refurbishment action is of guaranteed quality.

We can currently repair 4,000 different IT, EPOS & Consumer devices – including older/obsolete components.

With the technology revolution moving designers away from electronic bespoke into PC based hardware systems, Microtek has been able to expand its repair portfolio to cover a much wider range of new electronic equipment. To us now, a repair on EPOS Terminals, Home Computers, Games Consoles, SMART/LCD TV’s or even Renewable Energy products, all requires the same expertise and level of competence. Consequently, Microtek now offers its services to both Commercial & Consumer alike, without re-tooling or additional engineer re-training.

Whereas in the past we would only consider the larger commercial contracts, today we are equipped to welcome all, from SME clients to embracing individuals from the ever expanding home technology market through our ‘drop in’ Technology Repair Centre based in Leeds.
